Valley of the Kings Empty
PostSubject: Valley of the Kings   Valley of the Kings I_icon_minitimeTue Mar 16, 2010 3:48 pm

The setting was Egypt. It was late at night. The moon was high. The stars were bright. Above the Valley of the Kings a Senkai Gate opened. Nikitio stepped out It was about thirty feet in the air. Not high enough to kill the students who followed. But it was high enough to certainly shake them awake if any slept. It wasn't that bad of a fall. They wouldn't get hurt. Maybe a bruise, and some soreness. Over all though it would be fine. Nikitio stood on the air. He stood about ten feet away from the gate. He wanted to watch the people fall. He needed to see how they would handle this. Their reaction time. It was part of the training. Was it extreme? Some would say yes. Did he? No. He waited for them to leave the gate. He yawned and folded his arms.

Adam was quick to follow. He went through the gate as if it were just a door. He didn't think of it as anything. Just another thing. Another door. Or doors. The gate was bright. It was hard to see through to the other side for some. In Adam's case however, he could see the valley of the kings. He'd been there once before. Once, he didn't really stay for long either. It was merely a short vist. A vist that ended up with him getting his emotionless state. The woman he loved left him in that very area. He was rejected. He was left for another. Adam made sure not to fall for the same thing. Which is why he acted the way he did.

Adam then took his first step into the human world. As soon as he walked into the human world he fell. Adam expected this. After all he saw they were going to fall. Adam made sure to fall foward. As soon as he was a few feet away from the ground he flip himself foward. Landing perfectly on his feet. His hands remained in his pockets. He did this sort of thing everyday when he was training. Adam then looked up at his captain. He knew this was something his captain expected from him. After all he was his 3rd. Adam then moved a bit over to the side. He moved in order not to get hit by the other two.

The Senkai Gate was different then any normal gate she has gone through before. She was wowed by it actually. The last time she has experienced this was when her adoptive father took her with him through it. That was many years ago though. It was bright as the sun. She could feel the power it radiated. It was quite warm. While the way there was dark and cold. Once that the doors opened on the other side, it was different. Their destination was bright and warmer. She knew they were in Egypt. She has learned much back when she was a human. She took a look around as she stopped in the middle of the Senkai Gate. She was a type of person who looked before she leaped. And in this case, it was literal. She knew where they were in Egypt. They were over the Valley Of The Kings. It was almost like the Human World’s version of Hueco Mundo. Sand everywhere. And a huge moon in the middle of the sky.

She smiled as she saw the stars in the sky. It was a beautiful night indeed. She then did a flip as she left the Senkai Gate. As she was heading downwards head first, she started to spin her body some. She laughed out loud at the feeling. She looked as if she was in an air ballet. As she got closer to the sandy ground, she smiled. She then did another flip. She soon landed onto her feet on the ground. Her eyes were bright and warm as she laughed.

Tatsuya quickly made his way through the senkai gate, trying to catch up with everyone else. The lights of the gates were bright and Tatsuya had to hold his hand over his eyes to attempt to see any further ahead. He had never traveled through a senkai gate, or ever imagined he would. He had heard stories of them before, telling people of how they were able to transport people anywhere they wanted to go. But these stories never mentioned any blinding lights. Tatsuya continued to jog lightly trying to catch up, until his next step sent him falling headfirst downwards. "Shit!" Tatsuya looked down and saw that he was now falling over what appeared to be a desert. It was night time and the stars dotted the sky beautifully. Tatsuya began to forget that he was still falling and continued to sight see. "What is this place?" As he asked this question to himself, he happened to glance downward and noticed that the ground was closing in on him at an alarming rate. "Dammit!" Tatsuya held his arms out in front of him and crashed into the ground, sand flying all up around him. He bent his arms at the elbows in order to absorb the shock as best as he could and then pushed downwards, propelling himself forwards, flipping into the air. Tatsuya then landed, resting on one knee. He looked around and noticied everyone else seemed to have had a more graceful landing. He sighed. He began to shake his arms some. "Owww..." The impact made them a bit sore.

Nikitio kept a cold stare on the gate. He watched as his students came out. Adam fell with some grace, but he still failed the first test. Jaxon had a bit too much fun with the fall. That isn't why she failed though. Tatsuya...there were too many things wrong with that one. Nikitio sighed as the gate closed. He dropped from the sky and landed gracefully on his hands and feet in a classic cat like style. He stood and pointed to Adam and then Jaxon. "You failed the first test. You will not always have the option to look before you leap. You will have to leap at times and worry about what is beneath you later. Plan for the unexpected. If you cannot plan for it, then be ready to make changes. If the ground beneath you falls, be ready to change your stance to land with minimal damage. Adam, you saw what was coming ahead of time. Your body language said so. Jaxon, you blatantly stopped and looked. You won't always have that luxury. Break that habit now. In the field you won't always be able to look to see if there is an enemy just around the corner. Be prepared," His blue eyes turned to Tatsuya. "Thanks for the comical relief."

Nikitio turned his back on them and walked out a few feet. He turned around again to face them. "Shunpo is why we are here today. You all are ready to learn it, but you need to remember the basics first. Shunpo is NOT teleportation. It is not a magic trick. You can be caught in it. You can die while using it. All you are doing is running at high speeds." As a demonstration he used shunpo to vanish from sight. He reappeared behind Jaxon with his back to hers. As he spoke his voice was low and dark. "If you cannot remember that you are simply running you will die. I may be the teacher, but do not think that I will weep for you just because you failed to save yourself using a technique that I taught you. And do not think I will feel shame upon myself. This is not fun and games. This is real..." He vanished again and appeared in front of them about fifty feet away. "Your first lesson. Run to me. Stop at exactly this line I have made. For every foot you take past this line, you will have to run another twenty feet. Remember. The sand can and will slow you down. Count on that. Be prepared." He stood there with his arms folded. He waited for them to come to him.

Valley of the Kings Empty
PostSubject: Re: Valley of the Kings   Valley of the Kings I_icon_minitimeTue Mar 16, 2010 10:13 pm

Tatsuya couldn't help but roll his eyes as the captain regarded their entrances. How could you pass or fail at walking out of a portal? It seemed ridiculous to him, but alas this guy was the teacher and he the student, so he couldn't really complain all that much. Plus this guy had the whole "I can read minds" thing going, so it wouldn't be wise to think bad thoughts. He soon stood from his kneeling position and began to shake some of the sand that had gotten into his hair out. While he did this, the captain began to explain what exactly shunpo was. Contrary to popular belief, it seemed that shunpo wasn't actually teleportation, just the user moving at high speeds. Tatsuya was a little disappointed after hearing that, but if it was just running around he'd have it in the bag. He prided himself on his athleticism and dexterity. The captain continued to explain the repercussions of using shunpo, or at least that's what Tatsuya was getting from it. He kept using words like die, fail, and shame. It all sounded a bit overly dramatic, especially with all the disappearing and reappearing he was doing. He then instructed them to run to him, stopping exactly at the line that he created in front of himself. if they were to pass that line they'd have to run an additional twenty feet for each step. As he folded his arms, Tatsuya assumed this meant that they were to begin. "Ok then....I guess I'll go first. Wish me luck, Jaxon." He smiled at her and then he darted off, running full speed towards the captain. If this technique was about speed, then the only way to get accustomed to using it would be moving at your full speed and stopping on a dime. Tatsuya continued to run and the sand continued slow him but he made it, just barely stopping in front of the line.

PostSubject: Re: Valley of the Kings   Valley of the Kings I_icon_minitimeWed Mar 17, 2010 4:58 pm

Nikitio wondered who would go first. He honestly thought it would have been the girl. He looked at her for a moment. His soft blue eyes analyzing her structure again. She was relaxed. She wasn't threatened. Odd...most students show a massive amount of fear. Was it that her lover was so close? Speaking of him, he showed no fear either. He did roll his eyes a bit, but Nikitio didn't do anything about it. What could he do? Rip out his eyes. That was an option, but he was interesting. Did he have a fear about being out here? Nikitio wasn't going to make assumptions. If he did have fear, Nikitio didn't know and would just go with his idea that he was playing a stereotypical male. He had to be brave and fearless, blah blah. If that was the case then this was a waste of time. He'd be dead before he could lift a finger. That is how it works. Faking fearlessness gets you killed. Simple as that. If he truly didn't care or didn't think about it, then he was also dead. Not just him though. Him and Jaxon would die if they just didn't think about the dangers. Oh well. With time would come experience and life lessons.

Nikitio's eyes flicked to Tatsuya once more. He took the first step. His muscles worked. They contracted and expanded as he moved. He was fast for a student. He would give him that. But he didn't perform to Nikki's liking. Nikitio didn't show it though. He just kept his cold and emotionless face. His eyes looked at Tatsuya's feet and then at his body in general. He reached the line and stopped before it. It wasn't too bad. He was hoping that he would stop on the line. But he managed to stop. The stop was good. Most people took a few steps. Usually five or six. He didn't though. He barely took one. It was just a stop. Nikitio didn't show that he was happy with that though. As stoic as ever, he looked up to see who would be the next to run.

In the back of Nikitio's mind he could feel a pulse. It was dark. It was chilling. It felt bestial. It was the reiatsu of a Hollow. He narrowed his eyes a bit. Not to the point that it was clear something was wrong, but enough to maybe make some curious. He looked at Adam for a moment. And then looked away. He waited to see what would happen.

Jaxon would look up at the Senkai Gate. She waited for Tatsuya to appear. She blinked and gasped a bit as she saw him just jog right out of the Senkai Gate. She could only stand there and watch as he started to fall. He was dropping like a stone. She started to move to where he was going to land. She knew that he was going to hurt himself. The way he was falling plus the speed was sure to cause some damage to him. She covered her mouth and eyes as he landed on the sand. Sand flying up everywhere. She lowered her arms that protected her mouth and eyes from the sand. “Oh Tatsuya.” She said. She was worried about him. It looked as if he didn’t himself that badly. She smiled to him and brushed some of the sand off of him. She knew that he was sore from the long drop. That plus the un-graceful landing he had. She chuckled a bit now. She could laugh now since Tatsuya was alright.

She moved away from him some to go back to where she originally landed. She blinked as Nikitio pointed to her as well as Adam. She frowned a bit as she heard him say she and Adam failed. She sighed some and nodded to him. She understood why she failed. She didn’t like to fail. She knew she had to break the want to stop and look around. But habits are hard to break. She looked to Nikitio as he looked to Tatsuya. She didn’t know about how Tatsuya would respond to that. She kept her pink eyes on Nikitio as he turned and walked away from them. She blinked some as he turned back to face them. She listened to him intently as he spoke about what Shunpo was. She already knew what it was. But she listened anyways. Sometimes you learn an extra detail when you do. She sweatdropped some as Tatsuya rolled his eyes. She wasn’t afraid of Shunpo. She knew the risks it had. She knew she could die while using it.

When Nikitio vanished, she looked around some. She was trying to trace his reiatsu. She traced it exactly when he appeared again. She listened to him as he told them what they must do. She nodded. She understood. She was about to go first, but a moment caught her eye. It was Tatsuya. Looked like he was going to go first. That was alright with her. Not only did it give her a chance to think out how she should move. But it also would help her figure out how much the sand will slow them down. As she heard him speak to her, she smiled at him. “Good luck Tatsu.” She said to him. She then watched him run. Mentally, she was counting out his steps. Physically, she was getting her body ready for her turn. She was going to go next. No doubt in that.

As soon as she saw Tatsuya stop before the line, she got ready. She waited for him to move out of the way. Not wanting to run him over. Or run into him. That wouldn’t look good for them. She took a calming breath. Focused her pink eyes on the line intently. She was going to try and redeem herself as a student. She shot out from her position. She was running as fast as her speed allowed her to. She even pushed herself past her limit. Indeed the sand did slow her down a bit. But she kept moving. She was paying attention to nothing else. Only the line. She made her body stop right on the line. She had good balance. She didn’t fall in either direction when she stopped. She just stopped as if she was a machine turned off. She looked to Nikito.

She hoped she had did well. But when she saw Nikito’s eyes, it was narrowed a bit. She frowned some at it. Something was wrong. She too started to feel a cold chill go down her back. She knew what this cold chill meant. Hollow. She placed a hand on her zanpakuto some. She moved out of the way. She looked forward but she was scanning the area using the corners of her eyes.

Nikitio looked at Jaxon as she moved. He kept his mind on tracking. He didn't want to lose the Hollow. It felt dense. Way too dense to be a normal Hollow. Either that was a powerful Hollow, or there was more than one. For the sake of time, he hoped it was the former. His eyes tracked Jaxon's movements. She was fast as well. It was clear she was pushing herself. She was not going to be left behind. She obviously didn't take kindly to being told she failed. Nikitio mentally shrugged at that and went back to his business with the Hollow.

He noticed her stop though. She stopped perfectly on the line. Her toes just touching it. He made no looks of pleasure or disappointment. He just looked at Adam. He was waiting for him to move. Nikitio felt a slight rise in the reiatsu. He didn't like what was going on. They weren't coming to them though so it would be okay. Nikitio looked back to Adam. He waited for him to move.

Valley of the Kings Empty
PostSubject: Re: Valley of the Kings   Valley of the Kings I_icon_minitimeWed Mar 17, 2010 9:37 pm

Adam listened to his captain speak. Adam didn't really care with the fact he failed. Adam remained his usual self. Emotionless, and uncaring. He didn't want to show weakness. He had already shown a bit. When he had smiled. The first, and last time those two would ever see something like that. Adam was listening to how he had failed. He understood where the captain was coming from. After all he wouldn't survive long enough to see the next day. He had to pull his socks up. Enough of letting his captain down. He was getting really tired of his failures. Adam then looked over to see the other man with them. He was just getting up from the sand. True it was funny. Adam didn't laugh though. Or even care for that matter. He just gave him his cold eyes. Adam then refocused on his captain. He nodded saying he would do better. He didn't want to look like a fool in front of his captain. He couldn't care less about the others. They still needed to gain his trust. Which was something he knew they didn't care about. They would rather keep their lips together forever then talk to him. They most likely thought of him as some kind of cold-blooded killer. Adam didn't care though. He knew he might just become one, someday if he went down that road. Adam hoped he didn't but he was with second. He was also the 3rd seated officer. Meaning he had to get his hands a little bloody at times. Even if he didn't like it. It was after all for the best.

Once his Captain gave them their instructions Adam nodded. He waited for the students to go first. They were stronger then him. Adam knew that. He could feel it. He could taste it. Adam was a little taken off guard by how fast the man moved. Adam was impressed. That was something hard to get. Adam also noted his amazing stopping ability. This man would do well in the future. There was a good reason he was stronger. Adam closed his eyes for a second to think. As he did things became silent. Then he could hear everything. Adam started tuning the things he didn't want to hear out. He then listened to the sand. To the wind. Then he quickly reopened his eyes. He could not only hear a Hollow approach but he could feel it. This was something Adam didn't really expect to see. Due to how far away they were from other souls. Adam began to think. He wondered how much time he could hold the thing off for. Would he be able to provide enough time for the students to make their way out of here. Could he survive. He could feel this one was far stronger then him. Adam didn't show no fear though. Only anger. Only the will to kill. He had to put this thing down. But for now he would have to finish his captains test.

The whole time this was happening the beautiful woman took her turn. She turned out to be a little faster than her lover. Adam would have smiled if he could. Adam only nodded his head in praise. His body was still facing his captains as well. He Knew. He knew his captain knew about the Hollow. He also knew about its power. Adam wondered if the others could tell this as well. All these thoughts were buzzing around his head. Suddenly they all disappeared. He was now back to real life. What brought this was the woman's stop. Just like the man ahead of her. She stopped dead in front of the captain. Adam was next. He knew this. He also knew his captain could tell what he was worried about. Adam knew it would be better to worry about such things when they come. Not now. Not until he really needed to. Adam knew there was a slight possibility the Hollow might not even be coming after them. Adam knew that was near impossible though. Unless. Unless there was another soul around here. He did feel something else when he touched the ground. Adam shook his head. He was telling himself that's impossible. If that were the case his captain would have already dealt with that problem. Before this whole thing started.

Adam placed his hand on his zan. Then he disappeared. He then reappeared where he was supposed to. He accounted every factor. From the sand. To his inexperience. He did if perfectly. He made it look as if did it without problem. Which he didn't have. Everything worked out. Adam then focused his eyes on his captains. He then nodded pointing towards the Hollow with his light blue eyes. He knew he had to bring this up. Even if he was a good distance. It was still a threat. Would his captain order him to take it out. Or would he just get them all to run. Then Adam though of another one. These two must have their Zan's. If so then they could take the Hollow out. If not it was run or fight. Adam knew his Captain could cut the thing in two. But he didn't know if he'd make fighting the creature a test for him. Adam then waited for his captains answer. As well as his order.

Nikitio didn't even notice Adam run. His mind was working on protection. He saw Adam run. But it didn't process in his mind. Adam might as well have flown on a broomstick for all he cared at that moment. Nikitio's eyes narrowed. The reiatsu grew. It went higher and higher. The levels were getting dangerous. It wasn't one Hollow. It wasn't two. It was at least a dozen. At the minimum it was a dozen. Enough to pick apart a small city. Still the levels grew. What the hell. A ringing was heard and Nikitio reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone. He flipped it open and glared at the screen. "Kiddies...get down..." That was all he said as he put the phone away. "Bakudo eighty-one. Danku." As he whispered the last word a very tall and wide shield arose. It effortlessly covered the four of them. Just as it rose up a blast of energy smacked against the shield. It caused a loud clap that resembled thunder. Being that close to the explosion would make any who didn't know it was coming, or expect to be protected, jump a bit.

The bright red energy flared against the shield. It held up though. Nikitio never once looked back. He kept looking forward. Eventually he closed his eyes. His body was a shadow as the light bent around him. "It would seem we are in charge of clean up. A Quincy was here only moments ago. He was looking for targets, but as you all can tell, there are no souls around. No souls means no Hollow. No Hollow means no practice. Quincy have this nice little thing that allows them to summon a massive amount of Hollow. The number has yet to be determined how much. The Quincy is dead though. He died a while ago. I'd say about a second before we got here. All that is left now are Hollow. And Hollow love a nice strong reiatsu..." As he finished the light faded. When the light faded their attackers were seen.

Nikitio glared. It was in the younger shinigami's direction, but not at them. There were well over a dozen. It was well over one hundred. Not even three hundred Hollow were there. Nikitio counted at least a million. There was more than twice that amount, but not four times. By that judgement there must be at least three million Hollow. Three million Hollow against a captain, a third seat, and two students. How fucking great. Nikitio turned to face the Hollow. As if the extreme number wasn't bad enough. The firer of the cero blast was one of the strongest in the group. A Vasto Lorde. This was bad. This was going to get real ugly real fast. "Bakudo number sixty-one. Rikujōkōrō." Nikitio knew who the spell was for. The Vasto Lorde who attempted to creep up behind the students. He was trapped now. Paralyzed. This was going to be really bad. "Remember what I said about not looking before you leap? This is why. Adam, protect the students. That is your top priority. Leave the Vasto Lordes alone. The human looking ones are mine....Quoth the Raven, 'Nevermore' Karasu!" Shikai was activated.

A double set of blades, one connected to each arm at the wrist. the blades themselves are tinged black and have three yellow stones going from the tip to the end. The blades have a special mechanism that allows them to slide forward as opposed to flicking forward like they look like they would do. They slide forward and backward and are double edged so that they can cut on either side. His hands are gloved, and this is what the blades sit on. The gloves are white. This was his shikai. The Vasto Lorde from behind him fired another cero. Nikitio grinned. The cero moved from Nikitio and the others to his shadow! When the cero was gone the shadow was still. Nikitio snapped and the shadow stood up. "End them..." The shadow vanished. A few of the Hollow began to cry out as they were slaughtered. Nikitio charged at the bound Vasto Lorde. He grabbed him and shunpo'd with him behind the other Vasto Lorde. He smacked them together. The fight had begun.

Valley of the Kings Empty
PostSubject: Re: Valley of the Kings   Valley of the Kings I_icon_minitimeThu Mar 18, 2010 12:12 am

Tatsuya had turned and began to watch the others make their way to the line in front of the captain. He smiled as Jaxon made her way to the line. She ran speedily, more than likely with all she had. He could see there was a determination in her eyes, more than likely put there from the captains words of her failure. She soon made her way next to him and stopped, right before crossing over the line. "Good Job" He nodded at her and then continued to look, waiting for Adam to go. While he waited he could feel foreboding presence. The feeling felt dense, as if it would soon overwhelm them all. While the tried to figure out what it could be, Adam quickly appeared before them. From the looks of everyone around him, he could tell that they could feel what he was feeling. He was about to ask the captain a question about it, but almost in that same instant he blurted out the incantation to a kido, creating a wall around them. Almost on cue, a dark red blast impacted against the wall, causing an a crash reminiscent to thunder. The wall held up afainst the attack and the captain began to explain the situation to them all.

After explaining everything, the debris and light from the previous explosion faded and with it their attackers came to light. An army of hollows filled the desert valley. Tatsuya had never once actually seen a hollow. He began to shake his head at his bad luck. Today was his first for many things, and they were all begining to end badly. His first time in a senkai gate and he falls out, and now his first time seeing a hollow and there was an army. Though while his fear about the situation began to rise, it seemed his zanpaktou had other feelings about the situation. It began to shake, violently. It seemed as though it were shaking in anticipation, anticipation of a fight and its chance to kill. "Tatsuya. Kill as many of them as you can..." Tatsuya looked in confusion. "Are you serious?! Do you see how many of them there are?!" The spirit began to laugh, in its always condescending tone. "You really are weak, Tatsuya..." Tatsuya rolled his eyes and soon looked back to the captain who was now fighting what appeared to be two human looking creatures. The captain then began to tell Adam to protect both he and Jaxon. Though he appreaciated the gesture, there was no way that Adam would be able to fend off the amount of hollows that had appeared. Being that Adam was in squad 2, he knew that he had to have had atleast shikai, and he knew that would come in handy in this fight. But for them all to survive, they'd all have to fight. This was no time for fear. "You get your wish this time, spirit." Tatsuya drew his zanpaktou and faced the waves of hollow closing in. "Ok Adam, I know you're the one supposed to be doing this. But I figured you'd could use some help! C'mon Jaxon!" Tatsuya waved her over and then pointed a single finger forward. "Hado 4. Byakurai!!!" A small ball of energy formed on his finger, and quickly shot forward into a beam concentrated energy. It lanced forward and pierced through many of the hollows that made their way towards them.

Valley of the Kings Empty
PostSubject: Re: Valley of the Kings   Valley of the Kings I_icon_minitimeThu Mar 18, 2010 5:13 pm

Jaxon kept her eyes peeled as she kept looking around. She was trying to pinpoint where the Hollow was. No. Not just one Hollow. She felt as if there were more then one. She moved her eyes to the corner to look at Nikitio. She was watching his body language. She was trying to get info from him in a way. He didn’t seem to change much. But she knew he felt the rise in reiatsu. If she could, then has already felt it by now. She stood beside Tatsuya. Her hand was still on the hilt of her zanpakuto. She moved her eyes to Adam. She wanted to see how good he’ll be. “Good luck Adam.” She called out to him. He may be cold to her but that’s okay. She was going to be kind anyways to him. It was just the type of person she is. She gave him a smile and gives a thumb up even. She was showing her support. She smiles as she looks to Tatsuya. She gave him a playful wink. She was telling him silently that he did well in her eyes. She then turned her attention back to Adam. She wanted to see how fast he could go. How would he stack up against her? Against Tatsuya? Only time will tell.

She smiled more as she thought back. She indeed had caught a slight movement from him earlier. When she was done with her turn. He nodded to her. He was praising her. It was a start. At least he was acknowledging that she indeed was there. That was a giant step as he didn’t seem to be one to speak with others. He seemed more of a loner. A lone wolf. She wasn’t sure if he knew she caught the movement. It didn’t matter anyways. She raised a brow as she watched Adam closely. She was reading the signals of his body. The way he stood. The way he shook his head. She knew now that he too felt the Hollows. She waited more for him to go. She leaned some of her weight more onto one foot as she stood. She felt as if the Hollows were getting closer.

She watched him as he finally seemed ready to go. She noticed when he placed his hand on his zanpakuto. She blinked as she saw him disappear then reappear at the line. He just did Shunpo. She thought he didn’t know how to do it. Or was he just there for practice? Or was it another reason? Did him and Nikitio know that the Hollows were going to be here? These questions ran through her mind. She started to nibble on her bottom lip some. He made it seem so easy. She kinda felt like a failure now. She was a bit jealous. And envious. But she got over it quickly. She wasn’t one to have bad feelings towards others. Instead she smiled to him. She nodded her head to him. She was silently praising him back. Watching him did help her in a bit. Now it made her want to try harder next time. To push herself more. After all, you get stronger when you’re body is weak. If you stop when your body get’s tired, then you won’t get stronger at all. She knew that you would have to push though the pain. The tiredness of your body. It was just like that well known saying. No pain, no gain. Yes. No pain, no gain indeed.

She had her eyes on him. She watched as he silently communicated with Nikitio. She too looked to Nikitio. The Hollows were even closer to them now. She was getting a bit nervous. She waited for the order from Nikitio. She didn’t want to run. She wanted to test her skills on the Hollows. But it was up to Nikitio. Not her. What ever he would say. She would do without question. She’ll even follow the orders of Adam. She may be more powerful then him, but he has a higher rank over her. He also has more experience then she does. Being a 3rd Seat and all. She stayed beside Tatsuya. But her attention was everywhere at once. She was coming up with how she can get rid of the Hollows. She wanted to do it as quickly and painlessly as possible.

Jaxon narrowed her eyes some. Nikitio’s eyes narrowed again. That was a bad sign. That meant a battle was about to happen. And soon. She started to get more nervous as she felt the reiatsu level rise more. It seemed there were going to be a lot of Hollows. No. That was a under statement. There were going to be outnumbered. She blinked some as she heard a ringing. It came from Nikitio. She looked towards him. He just pulled out a phone from a pocket. As he flipped it open, he glared. The news must be bad. It seems they are in for quite an eventful day. A deadly one in fact. “Hm?” She said to herself. She reacted instantly at his warning. She got down before he was done speaking. She wasn’t going to go against his order. Best not to. She watched him as he put the phone away. She listened to the Kido he used. She was getting a sneak preview of what she would learn in the future. But this was better then just from hearing about it. She watched as his Kido happened. It was a shield of some sort to protect them. She gasped some and covered her ears. The explosion shaking her a bit. This was different then what the Academy taught them. This was real. No joking around. Here, she could die. She had to make sure she doesn’t die. She wasn’t going to go down easy. She stood back up some. And looked to Tatsuya and Adam to see their reactions.

She looked to Nikitio. He hasn’t looked back at them. Not even once. He was more focused on other things. She got herself ready for the up and coming battle. She wasn’t afraid or nervous anymore. She watched as something started to happen to him. His body started to look more like a shadow. It was as if the light bent around him some. This was an interesting sight to her. She narrowed her eyes some. He began to speak to them. She frowned some as she heard the term clean up. She shook her head as he told them it was a Quincy. She never understood why Quincys did this on purpose. Most of them die because of it. Along with any other souls who are near. It was just so irresponsible. They caused more Hollows to appear. It just wasn’t right. Why don’t they do what the Shinigamis do? Why don’t they wait and protect a area? It would make the world a safer place indeed. And cause fewer deaths to innocents. She still felt bad though that the Quincy died. Even if it was his own fault. She sighs softly as she nodded. She was more ready to fight now. She had a cause. To protect herself and the innocent souls. She looked up as Nikitio was done speaking. He lets down the shield. The light slowly started to fade. She saw the Hollows.

She narrowed her eyes some. She went deathly silent. She was serious now. All of her caring personality was now replaced with complete seriousness. She had flashbacks of her death as a Human from just seeing them. Hearing them. She started to try and count the Hollows. There were too many. She quickly lost count. She just gave up. She wasn’t going to try and count them. It would be of no use at the moment. She just had to kill some of them. She didn’t want to be considered as dead weight. She was going to get stronger. Get more experience. She gasped some as she spotted something. There were a few Vasto Lordes here as well. This seemed to just get worse and worse. She hoped that they could get out of this alive. Only one way to do that. Fight. She heard Nikitio use yet another Kido spell. This was a different one. She looked behind her to see that a Vasto Lorde was trying to sneak up on them. The Kido spell Nikitio used paralyzed the Vasto Lorde.

She looked to Nikitio as he spoke again. She nodded some at his question. She understood more now on why he said what he did. She looked to Adam as he was ordered to protect herself and Tatsuya. She didn’t want to be protected. She was no egg. She will fight as well. She knew Tatsuya would feel the same way. She gasped a bit as she looked back to Nikitio. He just released his zanpakuto. He was in his Shikai mode now. Something she had yet to see from a Shinigami until now. She looked at the form his zanpakuto took. A double set of blades. One connected to each arm at the wrist. The gloves were white. His Shikai was indeed unique. He even had a dual weapon. Those were generally harder to master. Yet he did it. She watched him fight the Vasto Lorde some. She then turned her attention to fighting for herself. She now couldn’t wait till she would be able to do Shikai. She knew hers would be just as deadly in it’s own way. She smiled on the inside. But her face remained serious on the outside.

Her hand gripped the handle of her zanpakuto even more. “It seems we’re about to be tested in an extreme way. Are you ready?” Jaxon spoke to her zanpakuto. “Yes. More then ready. Let’s kick their ass!” Her zanpakuto spoke back to her. Jaxon nodded and pulled her blade out. She was ready. She looked to Tatsuya. Sent him a smile as she moved to him. That’s right. She was fighting alongside Tatsuya and the others. They will be fine. They will win this. She winced some as he used the Kido that she hates most of all. But quickly got over it. For now at least. She’ll deal with her fear later. Once Tatsuya let his attack go, she followed up right behind it. She started to spin in the air. Doing the spinning slash that she used before on Tatsuya. Except this was on the Hollows. She didn’t hold back at all. Her blade was in both of her hands. This made her attack more powerful. But it was also slower. No matter. She had enough speed to dodge. She made sure to keep close to Nikitio and the others. She wasn’t about to go off by herself.

Valley of the Kings Empty
PostSubject: Re: Valley of the Kings   Valley of the Kings I_icon_minitimeThu Mar 18, 2010 7:37 pm

Adam Blushed a bit at Jaxon's praisal. He hadn't expected that. Nor did he wish for that. His eyes went a bit wide. He then covered his face with his long blonde hair. He didn't want to be seen with a red face. He also didn't like the fact he was a bit attracted to another man's lover. What could he expect. He was a man, and she was sexy. Adam shook his head. His uncaring and emotionless face returned to him. Just as he looked back at his captain he noticed the increase in power. Adam closed his eyes for a few seconds. He began to count. There was way more then he had though seeing. They were also heading directly for them. Adam's hopes where gone now. He had hoped not to fight the hollow. He didn't feel like killing. Even if it was putting them out of their pain. Their suffering. Adam lowered his head. Then he returned it back to face his captain. He noted his Captains sudden face as he answered his phone. This was a bad sign. Adam knew they weren't going to run. They were going to fight. Adam didn't respond to this however. He mearly nodded. He had just accepted his orders. Even if it did spell out his death. He would do everything in his power to help these two get away.

Just as Adam was about to turn to look at the hollows his captain ordered them down. Adam went down on his left knee. His left hand's thumb ready to push his Zanpakuto out. He was ready for battle. He watched. He also listened to his captains Kido. Adam knew which one it was by the words. A shield soon followed. Covering them from a large red beam. Adam's eyes remained the same for that spit second. He was a little pissed now. He didn't like what the bastards just tried to do. Even if they weren't in control. Adam's anger began to rise. He was now in the mood to kill. His emotionless face remained. His eye's. His light blue eyes began to project his hatred. His will to kill. His need to kill. He slowly watched as the Hollow built up around them. He remained on his left knee. His left hand thumb ready to push the blade out. He was just waiting. Waiting for his captains orders. He was also waiting for him to lower his shield. Adam wanted to kill. He needed to kill. His Zan began to shake. Sai wanted to taste their blood. She wanted to be repainted by their blood. Adam's humanity was now gone.

Adam watched his captain begin to fight. His light blue eyes narrowed on the hollow in front of them. He could feel them. He could taste them. He wanted blood. Blood, their blood. No one gets away with trying to kill two students. They both didn't have their shikai yet. This was something Adam knew. He was happy to know they had their Zan's with them though. Adam's blood then began to boil. He was just about ready to lose it. He was ready to kill. Sai was ready too. They were building up power. Adam would make his power last for days. He wasn't going to fall to these Hollow. He'd kill them all before he's tired. Adam's had a sudden shutter go down his spin as his captain gave him the go ahead. He wanted to protect those two. He wanted to make sure they lived to see another day. Adam's anger build. His Reiatsu began to show. It was pitch black. It was also glowing white. Adam then grew a senical smile across his face.

Adam pushed Sai out. Within a few seconds the group standing in front of him where cut in half. They fell. Fast. They hit the ground. Not a word was heard. Not even a sound. Adam pulled his Zanpakuto out quickly. His Blade cut the hollows as if they were butter. Adam's sinical smile grew. "Its time." Adam whispered. Within a few seconds Adam stood up. His head hung low. His blonde hair covering his face. Adam's Zan, Sai had changed its look. The blade was now black, and had three skulls. Adam then raised his head. His hair moved away from infront of his face. His sinical smile was covering his whole face. Adam began to laugh. He then gave the first line of hollow a scarry smile. Within seconds he appeared behind a large group of hollows. His blade out as if he had swung it. He then stood up. Then a bit of blood dropped on the sand. Just as the little drip of blood hit the ground, the group of Hollows fell apart. Adam began to laugh. He then charged towards another large group. He began cutting and chopping them all up. He was laughing. His smile was that of a killer. His eyes. His light blue eyes where those of a pure weapon.

Adam may have looked insane. He may have looked out of control. But he wasn't. He was in full control of his body. His mind. His power. Adam was like a weapon. He just didn't have a master. He only had himself. He and Sai were perfect for eachother. They matched eachother well. They both wanted blood. They both were laughing. Each swing Adam took cut two down. He wasn't even close to being done. He kept moving faster. And faster. Until he started becoming a flash of blood. The cross around his neck swung back and forth. It matched every swing he did. Every blow. One Hollow was lucky enough to grab his blade. Adam smiled. He then Kicked the Hollow. It was sent flying away. As it was sent flying it was stopped by a group of Hollows. The hollows up front were killed on impact. Adam laughed even harder. He then turned to the other hollows. They started to charge. They began to circle around him. Adam let this happen. "Death's bane." Adam yelled out loud for everyone to hear. Within a few seconds all the hollows around him were cut in half. Then a black wave followed through them. It began cutting other Hollows in its path. Adam began to laugh. He had most likely killed a good number of them. "1 million each hey." Adam said as his face went back to its emotionless state. He was enjoying himself. And yet at the same time he was not. He had just confirmed his fears. He was going to be a weapon. Adam shook his head. "No I'm not. Not if I still have control." Adam said to himself as he quickly returned beside the two students. As he did he cut down more. Every bound he took he would cut two with ease.

Sai was covered in blood. She was dripping blood. She was happy to be of use to Adam. The one man she loved. This was the reason they worked so well together. They fought with trust. The two of them fighting was like sex. Adam enjoyed this. Sai did as well. The two were meant to fight together. Adam's energy was still high. His power still fine. He felt good. He felt amazing even. Adam turned towards Jaxon. "I can't wait to see how you two fight together." Adam told Jaxon pointing at her Zan. He also liked what he was seeing from the man. He was cutting down the Hollows like he was. Adam's smile returned as he cut another two in half. He was just getting started he wasn't even close to being done. He was ready for more. He wanted more. He wanted to beside his captain. This was the kind of battle 2nd was famous for fighting. They were also well known for winning in these battles. 2nd division may look like a joke to some. Yet to the people who knew the ones inside. Plus if they knew what they did. They wouldn't judge. They'd be scarred to try.

Adam went back to his battle. His energy felt as if it wasn't moving an inch. Adam loved this. He kept fighting. He kept swing. He kept cutting. He kept stabbing. He also kept killing. The screams from the hollow as they died were loud. They would rip apart the eardrums of a normal human. Their screams of pain couldn't be heard here though. Adam kept cutting more down. One after one kept dropping like flies. They were trying their best to fight back. It was no use though. Adam kept cutting them down. He kept cutting his blade through them as if they were butter. He knew they were once human. He did feel a little sorrow for them. It wasn't enough to stop them though. He kept on cutting. The sand on the ground began to change red, and black. The blood from the hollows kept slashing against the sands. The sand was becoming wet with blood. The hollows kept on their march. They kept charging in. Trying to kill Adam. Adam kept cutting them down. Adam was guarding the students flank. He didn't want them to get over run. He was doing his best to protect them. Just as was ordered.

Adam was covered in the blood of the hollows. Every swing he made that cut through, covered him in blood. He was drenched. He didn't like being covered in blood. But Adam just ignored it. His blonde hair started to look a bit different as well. It started to look as if he was dying his hair. His hair looked like a shade of red, mixed in with some black, and blonde. Adam didn't pay much attention to this however and just kept cutting. Adam the moved up beside the couple stopping two more Hollows before they could reach them. "I really am looking foward to seeing how well you two lovers do?" Adam said in a bit of a kinder tone. Afterwards he blocked a few attacks. Then he repaid them. His blade cut down. "Adam how many have we killed so far?" Sai asked. Adam kept swing Sai. "I lost count." Adam replied, while still swing Sai down through the hollows. Adam wondered why that damn Quincy had to summon a Hollow in the first place. It really pissed him off. It didn't show though. His face remained uncaring. It also remained emotionless. His face had changed from a sinical one to it old way. Adam was also still in Shikai. He moved without problems. Dodging attacks from time to time without effort. Adam then looked back at his Captain. Adam wanted to know if he'd be okay fighting both hollows and a lord. Adam then shook his head. Of course. After all he wasn't the captain of 2nd division for nothing.

The sands where drenched in blood. It was black, and red. Colours that matched Adam. Colours he like. He didn't pay attention to it however. He just kept cutting. Over and over again. He continued to cut. Swing. Then stab. His blade moved through them like butter. Adam's face remained the same. Emotionless, and uncaring. He was just about ready for another million to show up. He was still quite in the mood. He wondered how much he had killed. He must have killed hundreds to thousands of them. Just by looking at the field you'd say he killed a million. It felt that way. To him that is. It also looked that way on Adam. Seeing as how he was covered in blood. Adam then looked over towards the students. He was now stading beside them.

Nikitio could feel the movement. His senses were alert. He was tuned into the three Shinigami behind him. His shadow had split into three. They killed off Hollow after Hollow. Nikitio watched as the two Vasto Lordes stood up. He shook his head at them. They hissed at him and used sonido. One came from his left. Nikitio jumped back and avoided the attack. A Gillian fired a cero at him. One of his shadows came and absorbed the blast. The shadow prepared to fire it back at the Gillian. Nikitio snapped. The Shadow fired it back at the Vasto Lorde. He scowled at the blast. It was twice as fast and twice as strong. The Vasto Lorde took it head on. He had no choice. The Shadow fired it from point blank range. The Vasto Lorde was blown away.

The second one reappeared and wrapped his arms around Nikitio. Nikitio smiled at him. "As you wish..." Nikitio pushed off the ground. He moved forward in a flip. The Vasto Lorde was not thinking clearly apparently. Nikitio fell on him with all of his weight. The Vasto Lorde relaxed his grip for a second and Nikitio used Shunpo to get away. He hovered in the air and summoned a baseball sized darkness. He dropped it and smiled at the Vasto Lorde. He snapped as it entered range. After he snapped it exploded. Everything within ten feet was hit by a powerful blast of cold energy that froze them. Some Hollow were hit and they died. The Vasto Lorde was more resistant than that. It was still there but most of him was frozen.

Nikitio zoomed down at him. He flipped down and landed next to him. The right blade slid forward. He slashed the Hollow on the chest. It cut him deep. The Hollow cried out. Nikitio looked to the side. The other Vasto Lorde had taken heavy damage, but nothing he wouldn't recover from. He glared at Nikitio. He charged a cero. As soon as he used shunpo, Nikitio went into action. He knew one very important thing about Hollow. Their cero followed the same rules as their kido. Meaning it could be canceled. This gave Nikitio the upper hand. He could cancel out his attack. "Kiddies...things may get a little heavy. I recommend you try not to get sick or what have you." He sensed the Vasto Lorde was coming to an end. He was using sonido to get all over the place to confuse Nikitio. "Bankai!" All of the sudden, Nikitio's reiatsu exploded.

He wears a tight white sleeveless vest. It is armored though, but the material it is made from is very flexible, which allows for him to be able to move freely. His pants are tight around his hips, causing them and the vest to look like one thing. As they move down his legs they flair out though. The right side of his pants are are black, and the left side is white. He has a piece of cloth that hangs down over his left leg, which reaches his feet. The cloth is a shade of gray. His shoes are black on the left side, and white on the right. He has on a pair of gloves as well. The gloves are incredibly soft despite their leather look. The left glove is black, and the right glove is white. It is from these gloves that blades come from. The white blade come from the black blade. The gloves themselves are actually apart of the blade, and can therefore be used as a form of blocking, but not cutting. Being hit with the gloves hurt though. The gloves are skin tight also.

This was his bankai. He was not done yet though. He had one more trick. "Maybe...MAYBE, you will learn this one day, Adam. For now...do not focus on this, focus on the task at hand." He drew his left hand across his chest. When his hand was fully extended he bent his wrist to him. As he straightened it out he snapped and spoke. "Shunko!" The legend technique of the 2nd Division. Shunko. Flash Cry. This was a deadly thing to face. Few saw it. Fewer still lived after it. These Vasto Lorde would die here. Kido surrounded him and tore up the ground under him. The Vasto Lorde appeared before him and Nikitio held his hand out to his. The technique he used was known as hanki. It canceled out the kido energy of another and paralyzed them. Nikitio smiled at the Vasto Lorde. He clearly wasn't expecting that. With his free hand, Nikitio raised it and pointed it at the Vasto Lorde. "I suggest you just stay down. Your kind never listens though...." He released a blast of kido energy. It consumed the Hollow and many many more beyond him. When the blast was over the Vasto Lorde was covered by his Hollow comrades.

The frozen Vasto Lorde had gotten out and was not seen. He was using the Hollow around him as cover. Nikitio released shunko. He still remained in his bankai. He formed another baseball sized darkness. He threw it into the Hollow and threw three more. He snapped once. They exploded. Not only did they explode ice spears were sent out. They pierced and killed hundreds of Hollow. He vanished as one tried to swipe at him. He round housed him in the face though killing him instantly. Nikitio used shunpo to stand near his students and third seat. He noticed Adam was covered in blood. Whatever. There were more important things at stake here. They had killed a lot, but there was still so so many more.

Valley of the Kings Empty
PostSubject: Re: Valley of the Kings   Valley of the Kings I_icon_minitimeFri Mar 19, 2010 5:54 pm

Tatsuya continued to run towards the hollows. Slashing and stabbing every which way. They were weak, but for this weakness they made up for in sheer numbers.
Tatsuya and the others had been fighting them for what seemed like an eternity. No matter how many were killed, more seemed to spring up and take the place of their fallen comrades. Tatsuya quickly jumped into the air towards a mass of hollow. "Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Inferno and pandemonium, the sea barrier surges, march on to the south!" As he said this a ball of red energy formed in the middle of his upraised hand. He pushed his reiatsu forward and fired off the shot. The blast landed in the middle of a large group of hollow and decimated them. Tatsuya followed this up once more, quickly chanting the incantation as fast he could. He aimed for another group of hollow and aimed for the dead center of them. As the explosion sounded off, limbs and gore flew every which way, scattering across the battle field.

Tatsuya soon landed on the desert sand. He then flicked his wrist. His zanpaktou began to spin within his right hand until the blade faced towards the hollow. They had stopped their movements before making their way fully to him. Tatsuya began to smirk as they did this. It seemed they weren’t as simple minded as he had assumed they were. They were trying to find a weak point. An opening. Tatsuya had to make sure he didn’t give them one. If so they’d quickly outnumber him. Which would ultimately seal his fate. “Tatsuya, rush them!” “No! If I do that they’ll counter attack, I have to let them move first…” “You idiot, if you give them the chance to attack you’ll end up dead.” “If I move now I’ll “end up dead”. Just shut up and let me handle this!” Almost as soon as he said this a hollow rushed in behind him. Extending its arm to grab Tatsuya. It seemed the enemy noticed that Tatsuya’s attention was unfocused and decided to use the opportunity to attack. Tatsuya quickly threw the blade to his left hand and swung around, slashing it upwards. The blade whistled as it made its way through the air. It soon connected with the arm of the beast, and sliced through it like paper. As the arm fell, Tatsuya quickly stabbed forward. The blade pierced into the neck of the hollow. He could feel the resistance as the blade severed the hollows spinal cord.

Another hollow quickly rushed in from his right side. Hoping to catch Tatsuya while he was preoccupied with the deceased hollow. Tatsuya tugged, ripping his blade out from the side hollows neck and swiftly side stepped. The hollow rushed past him, obviously not being able to stop as a result of the speed he was going. Before the hollow got too far, Tatsuya spun with his blade as he kneeled down. It slashed through the hollows legs, effectively cutting them off. The hollow crashed into the ground and continued to roll, sending him crashing into other hollow that stood in front of him. Tatsuya thought that this would have slowed them down. This thought, however, was wrong. It seemed their brethren being killed seemed to set them off even more, and as a result their attacks began to increase. Three hollow speedily rushed in on Tatsuya. He quickly stood up and faced his would-be attackers. As the first hollow rushed in, Tatsuya jumped upwards and onto its head. Using it as a stepping stool he lept towards the other two behind it. Tatsuya then began to spin before impacting his foot with the head of the second hollow, sending him flying. Tatsuya then stabbed forward with his zanpaktou. The blade was impaled into the chest of the third hollow. The blade dug its way into the hollows heart and killed it instantly. He then All of this happened to quickly that the first hollow didn’t have a chance to yet turn around. Tatsuya took advantage of this and stabbed into the hollows back. He then slashed upwards, slicing the hollow straight down the middle from the waist up.

The body slowly slid off of his blade and fell into the sand. Tatsuya whipped it through the air and towards the ground, cleaning his blade. He looked back up to be greeted with the deathly glare of even more hollows. He sighed a bit. No matter how many were killed they just kept coming. So many hollows appearing like this had to have had a catalyst other than that Quincy idiotically summoning them. He had never heard of a hollow attack of this magnitude before through anything that he had read. As he thought about this he began to wonder how Jaxon was doing. He knew she had to be doing well. He had faith in her abilities, so there was no doubt in his mind about this. The Adam kid seemed to be doing well himself during the first minutes of the fight. It seemed he called out his shikai and went a little off the deep end. But in a situation like this one, who could really complain? He raised his blade once more and prepared for the hollows rushing him again. He had taken his breather, now it was time to get back to work. Once again another hollow rushed him from the front. Apparently, he hadn’t seen what has just happened to his comrade. Tatsuya raised his blade and sent a horizontal slash to the hollows stomach. The zanpaktou sliced through the flesh and disemboweled the hollow. With a crash, the hollow fell forward giving way to four more hollow leaping up and out of the crowd and downwards to Tatsuya. They had moved too unexpectedly for him to predict and they all landed around him, one of them landing on top of him, now standing on his back. The hollow quickly got off of his back and picked him up, grasping him in his arms so that he couldn’t escape. “Shit!” They had captured him and his zanpaktou had been propelled out of his reach as a result of the impact.

Another hollow walked up sporting a large clawed arm. The claws were razor sharp. It quickly ran forward and swiped to cut off Tatsuya’s head. Tatsuya swiftly ducked his head down, causing the clawed hand to smash into the head of the hollow that held him captive. The clawed hand then cut into the neck of the hollow, decapitating it. The head was sent flying quite a ways away. As the hollow that held him died, the grasp of the hollow that held him failed. This allowed him to break free. Tatsuya hurried as fast as he could to make it to his zanpaktou. The hollows had another idea in mind though. They began to circle around him, making sure he had no where to escape to. Tatsuya turned around in a full 360 degree motion. He made sure to inspect all of his opponents. He then put his hands out in front of himself, getting into a fighting position. They weren’t going to let him get his zanpaktou back, so he’d have to make do with the weapons that he had readily available. His fist. A hollow rushed in, swiping madly at him attempting to maul him. Tatsuya dodged these swipes with grace. A swipe came horizontally towards Tatsuya. Tatsuya then leaned backwards, dodging the attack. From this position he went into a handstand and wrapped his legs around the hollows arm. With a powerful twist, he ripped the hollows arm out of its socket. He kicked the arm into the air and made his way back onto his feet. The arm came falling back down and Tatsuya caught it. Sending the bladed claws into the chest of the hollow, killing it. As he did this another hollow made its way behind him and slashed at him. Tatsuya dodged, but the hollow managed to land a small cut on his arm. Tatsuya grabbed the arm of the hollow and flipped him up and over himself and crashing into the sand. Tatsuya then landed atop the hollow and began to send a flurry of punches into its mask. With each punch the mask began to crack and even deeper cracking sounds began to sound off. Tatsuya assumed that it was just his skull caving in.

While Tatsuya continued to punch, he could feel small tremors in the sand below himself and the body of the hollow he was atop. Soon enough, the sand burst upwards. This gave sight to a horrific hollow. It was a giant sandworm hollow and it burst upwards from directly under Tatsuya and the hollow he was preoccupied in killing. The mouth of the sand worm opened up around both of them. Tatsuya used the body of the dead hollow as leverage and jumped out of the mouth of the worm. The force that the worm had caused from its entrance had caused both he and Tatsuya to be sent high into the air. They were now higher than the Senkai Gate was that had brought the group of shinigami here. And since Tatsuya had jumped out of the worms mouth he was now even higher than that. Tatsuya flipped his body in mid-air so that he was now facing downward toward the desert floor, even though his body was still being propelled upwards. He began to look the worm up and down for weaknesses until he saw a potential one. All over the worms body was a thick armor plating. But there was something odd. Atop the worms head seemed to be clear covering over the top of the skull, as if made of glass. The rest of the armor was dense and non-transparent. “That must be it…” Tatsuya held his upraised palm in front of himself. "Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Inferno and pandemonium, the sea barrier surges, march on to the south!" The red orb once again appeared. With haste, Tatsuya fired it off. He hoped that his aim was good enough. The blast flew forward and crashed into the head of the worm. Almost instaneously, the giant worm burst into flames. It began to shriek with hideous cries of pain, before making its falling descent back to the desert floor. The recoil of the kido had sent Tatsuya flying even higher into the air. It was now hard to see the smaller hollow that were present on the ground. They appeared to be a mass of black dots. But the giant body of the worm was unmistakable. The fact that the enflamed worm fell atop countless hollow, killing them, that was unmistakable as well.

Tatsuya began to grin. Hopefully the hollows caught in the crossfire would have been at least more than a fraction of those that still needed to be killed. Though looking from his position high above everything, it seemed not. He then began falling. It seemed the force caused from firing the kido off had finally worn down. He was moving quite quickly. The wind rushed past him. His hair flew wildly and the booming noise of the air rushing past filled his ears. As he continued to fall the force of the wind caused his haori to come off, flying off into the distance. He looked at his disappearing haori with a look of disappointment, but he quickly readjusted his gaze downwards. He still needed to recover his zanpaktou. He began to scan the ground on his descent, trying his hardest to see it from the height that he was at. He continued to look for a bit more until a faint glint caught his eye. “There it is!” Now that he had located his zanpaktou he had to move to more urgent matters, like slowing himself down. At the speed he was moving there was no way he’d survive an impact with the ground. If he did manage to survive, he’d be heavily injured and the hollows would make short work of him. Tatsuya began to smile. It was time to use one of his favorite kido. Tatsuya placed his hands together before spreading them apart from each other. “Bakudo 9. Hōrin!!!”

An orange hued tendril with spiraling yellow patterns to erupt from Tatsuya’s hand. He then used his right hand and ripped into it. This then created two of the same kido in each of his hands. He now had two kido whips at his disposal. Now it was time to use them. He leaned a bit more forward and started to increase the speed of his descent. After this he held out both hands and the whips. He began to rotate in the air. As he began to rotate, the the whips began to elongate. They started to reach the ground, and began to pick up hollows within each binding whip. Weights were now being added to the whips and this further increased Tatsuya speed as he increased his spinning velocity. He was now a make-shift helicopter. As he continued to spin the whips and the hollows entangled within them crashed into the ground into even more hollows. This worked to kill both the entangled and the ones still roaming. Tatsuya began to get nearer and nearer to the ground and then slowly flipped his body upwards so that his feet were now facing the ground. He stopped his rotation and landing safely on the ground, his binding whips still in hand. Hollow began to gather and Tatsuya used this to his advantage. He wrapped up a couple more with the kido and began to send them crashing into any other hollows that he saw. It was ironic in which the way Tatsuya was using this kido. It was a binding kido, and yet it was being used as more of a weapon in Tatsuya’s hands. More than likely, this wasn’t the intention for it when it was developed. Tatsuya continued his onslaught until he finally created a clearing. He began to dash with all his might until he made it to his goal. He bent over and hastily picked up his zanpaktou.

On cue, more hollows began swarming around him. Tatsuya was now panting. This fight was now taking its toll, though Tatsuya was more than able to continue fighting. If this fight continued in the way it had been though, he might not be able to hold out though. The swarms seemed to be never ending. Hollows rushed in and Tatsuya began to slash and stab. Killing each one that made its way towards him. His zanpaktou continued to shake in the same way that it had been since the beginning of the battle. Even though killing these things was getting monotonous, it seemed his zanpaktou enjoyed killing these things as much as when they first started. A sly hollow swiftly leapt forwards. This resulted in Tatsuya’s blade being lodged within its skull, entering through its eye. Tatsuya kept the hollow dangling from the edge of his blade and spun around. He sent this dead hollow crashing into other hollows that had ran up. He was now using his zanpaktou as more of a baseball bat, sending them flying. He continued to fight them until he now had a substantial amount of space between himself and the hollows.

Tatsuya began to think of what he would do next. Should he regroup with the others? Or should he stay separate from them and hopefully they’d clear the hollows out faster. The answer seemed almost obvious. These hollows showed no sign of dying down in number. Staying separate would almost ensure death no matter how strong you were. There was simply too many of these things to go on fighting them by himself, as much as he wanted to. Tatsuya made his way to charge through the hollow, fighting them to get back to the group. He began to run forwards, trying to put this plan into motion when all of a sudden he felt a sudden burst of powerful reiatsu. The sheer strength and density of it was too awe-inspiring to not stop and look from where it was coming from. The hollows seemed to share this same sentiment as they also stopped and looked. The reiatsu seemed to be from a shinigami, as it didn’t feel evil like these hollow. Tatsuya breathed a sigh of relief. He then began to look around himself and noticied that the hollow were still staring in the direction of the reiatsu. Tatsuya grinned. He’d have to take advantage of this. He held out his pointer finger. "Hado 4. Byakurai!!!" He shot off the electric beam and moved it horizontally across the battlefield. This worked to hit every hollow and effectively cut them in half. “Hahaha, that was too easy.” Tatsuya laughed at his good luck, but it seemed his good luck was about to come to an end. The ground began to rumble forcefully. Tatsuya dug his zanpaktou into the ground in order to keep standing upright. Soon a giant white boot came crashing up from under the sand. The toe of the boot crashed into Tatsuya’s chest, sending him sprawling through the air. With each of his rotations through the air, he managed to get a good look at what was coming up from under the sand. The reiatsu it possessed almost guranteed that it was a hollow. The giant mask it wore assured that even more. It was enormous. It seemed to be wearing a dark black flowing gown. It began to sit up, as it if had been asleep under the sand and was now waking up. Tatsuya began to figure the burst of reiatsu he felt must have been what woke this thing up.

Tatsuya came crashing down into the sand. Luckily enough though he landed near Jaxon and the others. He struggled to get on his knees, coughing up a bit of blood. He then looked to the others. “I hope you guys didn't get hurt while I was gone.” He smirked at them jokingly before coughing up some more blood. It seemed that kick to his chest had done some damage, but he couldn’t stop fighting now. If he did, it could mean the death of everyone there. If anyone stopped fighting for that matter, it could mean the death of all them. They were all essential to their survival. Tatsuya stabbed his blade into the ground and pulled himself up. He then looked at the captain. “What are those things?” He said as he pointed towards the giant hollows that were now rising up from the sand and making their way towards them.

Valley of the Kings Empty
PostSubject: Re: Valley of the Kings   Valley of the Kings I_icon_minitimeSat Mar 20, 2010 12:22 am

In the back of Jaxon’s mind, the gears were turning. Not only was she coming up with strategies. She was fighting. She was paying attention to her opponents. She was paying attention to Adam’s movement. She was paying attention to Nikitio’s movement. She was paying attention to Tatsuya’s movement. She was remembering different ways to attack. She was recalling all that has happened before the fights have started. Before the fights have started, she has seen something that made her chuckle. Adam blushing. Mhm. She has made him blush. The one who seemed to be emotionless blushed. Because of her. Was it because she is sexy? Was it because she is a female? Was it because she praised him? Who knew? She certainly didn’t. But she was glad. She was right about one thing with him. He did have emotions. But they were carefully guarded. His eyes even widened. He has tried to hide his red face behind his long blonde hair. But it was too late. She has seen his blush. But she won’t say anything. As it would embarrass him even more if she did. She wasn’t going to do that. She was going to try and make friends with him. He may not want her friendship. But he’ll have it anyways. He’ll just have to deal with it. When she saw the blush on his face, she realized something. It went back to before they were here. All the way to where they all met each other. Back then, she thought she saw something. A emotion on his face. It was a kind emotion. Maybe even loving. She has thought it was a trick of her eyes. She even shrugged it off. But now. It has returned to the front of her mind. He did indeed show a loving emotion on his face. It showed when he touched his zanpakuto too. She wasn’t sure if it is connected to his zanpakuto. But it could. After all, she bet there have been times where the zanpakuto spirit and it’s master have been more then just that. And she’s not speaking of becoming close friends. She has a feeling that they some of them have been lovers. Unheard of to most. But she did have a romantic imagination. It could have happened. But nobody would say it out loud. Why would they? Nobody would want to be picked on by saying that. They might even be considered taboo. Could Adam and his zanpakuto be lovers? Or are they just close friends? Just master and zanpakuto? Like family? This was something she would stay out of. As it was Adam’s personal business. He wouldn’t like it if he knew what she was thinking. He would probably hate her. She didn’t want that to happen. Not in a long shot. Besides she wouldn’t like it if she was put under suspicion. She would be surprised. Offended. Maybe even mad. She probably would just ignore them. Walk off. But then again that could be taken the wrong way. The other could see that as a silent validation of it. Oh well. She had better thing to worry about anyways.

All while this was going on in her mind. Jaxon was fighting against the Hollows that surrounded her. They probably thought that they could easily kill her. Because she was a female. Because she looked too innocent to kill. Well looks are deceiving. Jaxon is a prime example of that. Currently, she was facing in Adam’s direction as she fought. She was surrounded by Hollows of different sizes and shapes. The biggest looked like a giant scorpion of sorts. It was completely white in color. It was as big as a baleen whale. It had two claws. A long tail. A stinger. Six legs. Four eyes. A large spike protruding from it’s mask. Little to say, it looked very dangerous. And very aggressive. It’s claws looked as sharp as diamonds. They were as big as elephants. The long tail was as long as eight football fields. As wide as three football fields. And it was always kept up and curled. Much like how a scorpion does with it’s tail. The stringer was at the end of the tail. She could actually see poison drip out from it. The dripped poison would cover the Hollow’s back. But yet it didn’t look as if it was harming the Hollow itself. But she knew that if she touched the dripped poison, she would be dead most likely. She would also die if she was stabbed with the stinger itself. The stinger was as big as a car. Each of it’s six legs were a mile apart from each other on it. Three legs on each side. The legs were as wide as a school bus. As long as two school buses. It’s eyes were all a deep red color. Two were on the bottom half of the head. Three in the middle. And one at the top half of the head. One of the Hollow’s claw started to come at her. She moved to the side, spinning some as she used her blade to protect her side. Her movement looked as if she was dancing. This was how she truly fought. Her fighting movements looked more like dance moves. She learned this from her zanpakuto spirit’s teachings. She rushed to the scorpion’s head. She rammed her blade into the one eye at the top of the Hollow’s head. The Hollow screamed in agony. It sent it’s tail towards her instantly. It’s claws also started to close in on her. She was getting attacked from above and from behind as well as to the sides. She seemed to be trapped. Only one way to go. Under the Hollow. She pulled out her blade from the eye, her blade covered in poisoned blood. She then moved to run under the Hollow’s body. The stinger of the Hollow went down and just caught the back part of her clothes. This caused them to rip from her body. Her top now had no back to it. Leaving it completely bare. As she ran she started to get faster and faster. Soon she looked as if she just disappeared. She reappeared up in the air now. Standing in mid air. She looked in awe at herself. She just successfully used Shunpo. She smirked at the knowledge. She then disappeared again. She reappeared right at where the stinger attached to the Hollow’s tail. She did a horizontal slash. Causing the stinger to fall off the Hollow. The stinger fell hard and fast. So much, that it went right through the Hollow. It screamed out. More Hollows coming out from it. It was like a Trojan Horse. It secretly hid more Hollows within it.

She looked to the side and noticed how Adam was fighting. He looked completely different. As if he was a madman. As if he lost his sanity. Lost control over himself. She was a bit worried. Not for herself. Oh no. But for him. She hoped that he was still in control. She shook her head some. No. He was still in control. He was just having a lot of fun. She then looked down as she heard and felt many Hollows come at her. She smirked and dived down at them. As she did, she started to spin at a high velocity. She was starting to cause a tornado of sorts to happen. A sand tornado. All of the Hollows that were after her were caught in it. As they spun, so did her blade. She would hack and slash at them. Stab them. Kick them. Punch them. Slice and dice them. She was not holding back at all. She was never going to take it easy on them. That was a sure way to die. For sure. Bits and pieces of the Hollows went flying. And still the sand tornado continued. As she landed, that set the sand tornado free. It started to go off and blow Hollows away. She smiled as she sensed Adam close to her. She looked to him. “Hehe. Thanks. We’re a good team. Just like you two.” She said. She pointed to Adam and his zanpakuto. She was amazed by how he fought. How he and his zanpakuto worked together so well in Shikai. She couldn’t wait till she graduated. This made her want to graduate even more. She nodded to him and smiled. He was speaking more and more to her. This meant their bond was starting to grow. The friendship seed has been planted. She then jumped away from him and started to spin some more. Causing more and more sand to come up. She kept on making sand tornadoes. She was using strategy by making them at different areas. Making sure that no two sand tornadoes ran into each other. This blew away a good number of the Hollows. She would hack and slash at them. Stab them. Kick them. Punch them. Slice and dice them. Again and again. She was starting to be covered in the Hollow’s blood. She looked quite a sight indeed. She would need a shower after this. She smiled as she looked back to Adam as he spoke to her once more. She then blushed. Her blush was hidden though. By the blood from the Hollows. All around her were bits and pieces of Hollows. It looked like puzzles pieces. There was no way that you could put them together. The pieces were too small to do so.

She has already lost count of how many she has killed. It was up in the hundreds. That was just from her blade. Who knew how much she killed with the sand tornadoes she made. She was using the landscape to her advantage. That was one of the best advantages she had. When she heard someone yell, she looked to the side. It was Nikitio. She saw him go into Bankai. Gasping as she felt his reiatsu just go out the roof. It was as if his reiatsu level exploded. She started to pant from this. As his power felt a bit tough on her. But she pulled through. She even raised her own reiatsu level. It helped her breath better. She was awed by his Bankai. How he looked and moved. She has never seen a real Bankai before. Only heard about it. He wore a tight white sleeveless vest. It is armored though. But the material it is made from is very flexible. Which allows for him to be able to move freely. His pants are tight around his hips. Causing them and the vest to look like one thing. As they move down his legs they flair out though. The right side of his pants are black, and the left side is white. The gloves themselves are actually apart of the blade. And can therefore be used as a form of blocking. But not cutting. Being hit with the gloves hurt though. The gloves are skin tight also. She gasped more as she watched him more. He was about to do Shunko. A ability the 2nd Division was well known for. It was a legend technique. For sure. Few have seen it. Fewer have mastered it. This was a sigh to behold. She would never forget the sight. He drew his left hand across his chest. When his hand was fully extended he bent his wrist to him. As he straightened it out he snapped and spoke. Kido surrounded him and tore up the ground under him. She could feel the sheer power of it from where she was. And she was quite a ways away from him. Actually, she was a bit too far from him and the others. She needed to get back to them. She used Shunpo to get back to the group. Hacking and slashing at the Hollows she passed. She looked as if she was hopping from one to the other. As if she was using them as stepping stones of sort. That was what they were. Stepping stones. Soon she landed in between the distance between the two closest to her. Tatsuya and Nikitio. She looked at them both then at Adam. She was checking to make sure if they were harmed.

She smiled as she saw that they were alright. That was a good sign. She turned her head some to the side. Tatsuya’s side. She watched in how he fought. She was a bit worried at points, but he did well. She smiled as he used Kido on them. But when his haori came off, she blushed. Seeing him half naked was a bit distracting. It reminded her of last night. She shook her head some. Then looked away. She started to fight some more Hollows. Making sure she kept close to the group. She started to set up some more sand tornadoes. You would think the Hollows would get out of the way. But no. They were dumb. Some just stood there. Others actually jumped into it. She gasped as Tatsuya went a bit too far from them. But she waited for him to come back. When he did come back, she sighed in relief. But she saw him cough up a bit of blood. He looked as if he was hurt. “Oh! Tatsuya! You’re hurt!” She exclaimed. She frowned in worry. She sent an army of sand tornadoes in front of her at the Hollows. She then turned to Tatsuya some as he used his blade to keep him up. “Tatsuya.” She said. She was worried for him. She didn’t like to see him hurt. But at least he was alive. Not dead. She moved to him a bit. She reached out and strokes his cheek gently. Her thumb brushed his blood off of the corner of his mouth. “You were supposed to be careful. You know how I worry. I’ll just have to heal you up later.” She whispered. She said it so only he could hear. She then moved away from him and turned to face the Gillian. The Hollow that did the damage to her lover. She was angry. Her eyes glaring at the Gillian. She heard his question. She kept herself from attacking the Gillian. “Tatsuya. That is a Gillian. Slow moving. But powerful. They are deadly by themselves to us. But are more deadly in mass numbers.” She spoke. She kept her eyes on the Gillian as she rested some. She looked to Adam. She had a plan. “Adam. Is it possible for me and you to take this Gillian down? If so, want to help me? We can double-team it. It’s not exactly he brightest of the bunch. So we can trick and trip it.” She called out to Adam. She hoped he would agree.

Valley of the Kings Empty
PostSubject: Re: Valley of the Kings   Valley of the Kings I_icon_minitimeSat Mar 20, 2010 3:50 am

Adam hadn't payied attention to anyone. As of yet. His main goal was to kill. To kill the hollow. The hollows where were attacking. Not him. The students. He was fine. For both power, and energy. It was as if it was rising. He was really getting into this. This was turning out to be good. Really good. Far better then he had ever guessed it to. He wasn't really enjoying himself. Nor was he disliking this. It felt both good, and bad. Feelings Adam kept hidden. He didn't want his captain to know of his blood craze. If he did Adam would be in more shit then he could imagine. Adam managed to shake such thoughts away. He then focused back on the battle at hand. It was going well. No one was injured yet. The only blood split was from the hollows. Adam was also covered in it. Adam's hair was stained by the blood. His clothing was also stained. He looked as if he had just butchured a shit load of animals. He was covered. Head to toe. With nothing but blood. You could hardly see his blonde hair anymore. His clothing was now wet. It was as if he had just walked right into a lake. A lake of blood. Red, and black. The sand on the ground was also covered by the blood. It was like the sands were starting to become filled with blood. The sand was wet. It was red, and black. There were pieces of Hollows everywhere. The area was filled with dead hollow. Their arms where everywhere. Their legs. Their eyes. Their torso. Their heads. They were everywhere. There wasn't a spot you could see the golden sands. Just wet bloody sand. That or body parts laying all around. It was as if someone took a million puzzles and scattered the pieces all over the desert. This was something no mortal man would want to see. Adam even had a hard time seeing it. It was quite bothersome. It was bloody. It was by far more scary then he had ever seen before. He didn't look scarred though. Because he wasn't he was just upset. Upset at the fact of what he had done. He had killed thousands. Upon thousands of Hollows. He had forgotten one thing. The Hollows where once human souls. This fact bothered him. He might have just killed some ex shinigami. Maybe one of the Hollows could have been someone to him. His siblings? His real parents? All these were questions he was worried about. He didn't show it though more like hide it. He kept it locked away. He'd bring it up later. For now he had to protect something. Or really some one. The two students. The two students may have been stronger then him but there was one thing he had that they didn't. He had Shikai. This was something they'd get once they graduate. They'd most likely end up having amazing skills. Amazing powers. All of these were huge factors. For now Adam was a bit stronger. He was only a step and a half ahead. They now had battle experince. Something that was hard to get. Adam had recieved his earlier. During his first time in S.S. He was nearly killed by a hollow. He was saved though. By a shinigami. This shinigami helped him enter the academy. Sadly the Shinigami lost his life. He was ambushed and overrun by Hollows. Adam wished he could have helped. Sadly all he could do was sit by and watch it happen.

Adam was already in the thick of it. There were Hollow everywhere. Every which way. Everywhere Adam looked there was a hollow. most were just standing around. They looked like they didn't know what to do. Others where running around. They looked like fools. Then there were the ones who charged him. Not only him. But the two students. They also charged his captain. These hollow were starting to get to him now. They made him want to fight more. More then he ever did before. He wanted to use Death's bane once more. He couldn't though. He had to wait. He had to wait for it to charge. Adam was annoyed by this. He didn't want to wait. His power was needed. He needed to defend the students. It was only a matter of time for them. A matter of time before they were overrun. A matter of time before they died. Before they were killed. He didn't want to see this. He wouldn't let it. So long as he still breathed it wouldn't. He would defend them. Even if it costed him his life. As long as the two were safe. Sai also agreed to this. They both needed to. They needed to think as one. They needed to act as one. Their bond would only weaken if they didn't. Every move they made had to be what they both wanted. Something like this was hard to see. Or rare. The master would do all the moves without the Zan's help. Adam and Sai were different. They two where like one. One mind. One body. His arms moved the way he wanted to, and the way she wanted. Adam accepted this. So did she. Sai loved to fight with Adam. The two were perfect. They danced around. Dodging, and evading. They moved from side to side. They swung from left. To right. Every movement was like a slow dance. A dance of death. The dance of death. A dance few could do. The few that could would go far. Fast. they wouldn't be beaten easy. Their power would only grow. Grow to the max. Grow to the point where no one could stop them. It was something hard to control. It was something someone would need the right mind set for. If not they'd soon die. Or find the path that leads to the underworld. The underworld. That was a scary thought. No one was ready for that place. No one wanted to go there. Adam certinly didn't. If those two were killed there would only be two paths for them. The underworld. Or Hollowfication. Adam would hope for hollofication. If anything he'd want to be a hollow. He'd rather turn to what he's killing. Just so he wouldn't have to go to the underworld. That place. It was a living hell. A hell for those long dead. A hell for those evil souls. A place no one wanted to go. Its gates were like the bounts only it gave a creepier feeling. Plus the gates looked different. Adam then shook his head. He then returned to his killing. The sands were now a killing field. Filled with dead hollow. The sands had become a new battlefield.

Adam then looked over to see the two students fighting. They two had the dance. The dance had suited them perfectly. It looked better then he had imagined. The two of them were powerful. Adam gazed deep into their powers. Their soul energy was huge. He could feel it. Adam felt a bit of a serge. It came from the male student. He had used a Kido move that looked similar to something he had seen before. It just had a different feel about it. A different look as well. It was like a red beam. It killed almost all Hollow in its path. It left a path of blood. It was flawless. Adam wished he had such a move. His Death's bane might have been a bit stronger but he had to wait. He had to wait for it to charge. The student on the other hand didn't. He used it when ever he wanted to. Adam wondered if it would have any side effects on the student. It would soon look like that to him. He then looked over to see the female student. She looked happy. She moved with elegance and beauty. That man sure knew how to pick them. She moved without a flaw. It was amazing to watch. Adam was dumb found he loved seeing her move. Every swing she took. It was like it took a bit of his breath away. He had to keep himself focused. He couldn't though. Her moves were like a light. He was a moth, and she was the light. He made sure to protect that light. Cutting down another ten who thought they could get to her. Not while he was around. He did his best to stop them all from heading their way. Sadly he couldn't stop them all. Adam kept disappearing and reappearing. Behind, and infront. Cutting, and swinging. Stabbing and jabbing. He was killing the hollows as if they were nothing. As if they had no power. His own power was weak. It was weak compared to the three other shinigami. Adam didn't care though. He wanted them to grow their powers. He didn't want them to hold back. He want to watch them both bloom. Bloom into deadly flowers. Flowers that demanded respect. Flowers that commanded fear. They needed to become stronger. Adam would be the one to help them. He didn't care if they didn't want his help or not. They were going to get it. With or without their permission. He would aid them. Even if it meant putting his life on the line for the two. He wanted to help them. No, he needed to. Sai agreed with him on this as well. Adam quickly returned his focus on the hollows. He started back up his killing. His skills were getting better. He had just unlocked the Shunko. Adam kept moving fast. Fast, and faster. Sai in his hands. She was cutting through all the hollow. She was doing it all for Adam. She didn't want to see him hurt. She also didn't want to see the students hurt. Adam kept Sai steady. She loved being held by him. Adam didn't know this. He just thought she loved cutting through the hollow's flesh. She was a little upset at this fact. He hadn't yet noticed her affection for him. Adam only though of her as a close friend then anything. Nothing more. nothing less. This did hurt her. Yet at the same time made her feel needed. As long as Adam didn't let her go she would be fine. Adam only wanted what was best. Best for him, Sai, and the students.

Once Adam had stopped he had heard Jaxon's question. Or answer really. Adam blushed. He fell foward a bit too. He then corrected himself. "What did she say Adam?" Sai asked in rather curiuse tone. Adam looked down at her. Then to Jaxon. He scratched his head before answering. He didn't want to really say anything. He didn't feel like answering. Adam began moving his lips. "Yes I do work well with Sai. After all we are master, and Zan." Adam pointed out. His left hand slid back up on the hilt. Sai made a weird sound as he did. Adam looked down at her then his face became even a brighter shade of red. He was a little embarresed by this whole thing. It was as if they both were bugging him. Adam swung Sai. Sai cut through two more hollows. His face slowly turned back to its original state. Sadly his emotionless face was a little mixed with a hint of embarrasment. Sai was laughing at him. She hadn't seen this face in Adam in a long time. Adam just ignored her. He contiued to cut down the hollows. They remained still for a bit of time. It was as if they just kept sending wave after wave into them. As if they were sentenced to death. This seemed a bit ironic to Adam. He wouldn't tell why though. He just went back on with his job. Killing Hollow. He then looked over back at Jaxon. She was fighting hard. She kept using a power he hadn't seen before. It was amazing. She sent giant tornados at the hollows. Killing them on impact. Adam was impressed. Her skills were amazing. Adam could just picture her Shikai. She most likely would look like a god in her bankai. Adam shook his head then turned back around. He began to cut and cleave. He was getting even more blood on him now. He was getting tired of that. It was however unavoidable. Adam just took the blood. He refocused on Jaxon to see her get hit. His blood began to boil. He didn't like what he had just seen. He was pissed. Adam was about to go and kill the hollow. Then he saw Jaxon cut it down. Adam smiled. The first real smile he had made in a long time. Other than when talking to Sai. Sai was also relieved to see her do this. It made her want Adam to use more power. more power than anyone else had. Sadly this was not going to happen. She'd have to wait a bit longer. Just a bit. No long. Adam would raise his power. He was done taking things by other people. Other then his captain of course. He would follow his captain to death if need be. Adam then returned to his killing. Adam stopped for a quick second. He just got blood in his eye. "Ow, damn it." Adam mumbled to himself as he cut a hollow who was about to strike. He then returned his gaze upon the two students. The male had his shirt ripped off. He could see his bare upper body. Adam laughed a bit. He noticed Jaxon's reaction. Looks as if she was a little to attracted to him. This was good. Adam wanted to see this. As long as the two of them showed their love for each other he was happy. The two were indeed lovers. Adam could tell, even when he first met the two. The two were perfect for each other. Adam hoped their loved would remain strong. He didn't want to see what happened to him, happen to them. Not in a life time.

Adam then felt a huge increase in power. It was coming from his captain. Adam was amazed. He had never felt this before. Adam then watched. He watched his captain use his Bankai. Bankai. Adam had seen it once before. It was seer luck too. It felt the same. Only the Bankai's power he first saw was stronger than his captains. Adam let out a sigh of relief. His captain could kill all of these Hollow without breaking a sweat now. Adam had a smile across his face. He looked back up to his captain after he told him how he'd show him this. Adam wanted that power. He wanted to have it to help. He wanted to protect. Then Adam looked back over to see the male student. He stopped then coughed up blood. Adam's eyes narrowed. He was hit. Adam wondered if it was bad. No it must not have been that bad. The kick he had recieved only caught him off guard. That man could take a shit load more. Adam nodded his head. He knew his strength. Adam the walked over to Jaxon. She asked him about taking on a Gillian. Adam nodded his head in approval. Just as he did however he noticed the Gillian she was talking about do something. Adam's eyes grew wide. The Gillian hand formed a kind of blade. It sent it's hand flying towards Jaxon. Adam had a few short seconds. Adam pushed Jaxon into her lover. He knew he would catch her. Just as he did. Silence. The blade like hand went clear through Adam. Adam looked down then back up at it. Adam cut the arm off. The Gillian screamed in pain. Adam was in worse though. Blood began to pour out of his stomach, and mouth. Adam's knee's grew tired. Adam fought it off though. He ripped the blade out of his stomach. After he fell down to his left knee. He began to try and let the blood from his mouth finish pouring out. After a few spits of blood. Adam stood back up. He kept his left hand on his stomach where he had been stabbed. He wasn't done yet. Not by a long shot. "Yes, Jaxon we can take this thing out together." Adam replied coughing up blood. Blood wasn't just pouring out of his mouth, but his stomach as well. He'd have to worry about it later. He had to finish his job. Adam looked at Sai then he knew Death's bane was ready. Adam took one mighty swing with both is hands on Sai. "Death's bane." Adam yelled out sending a massive black wave towards the Gillian. The hollow blocking it were cut in half. Adam wondered if the Gillian would be able to take his greatest attack. Adam then looked over to Jaxon, giving her a nod.

Nikitio watched the younger Shinigami fight. He watched them move with grace and speed. Their teamwork was impressive. It was incredible. They didn’t seem to have any end to their stamina. Oh the joys of being young. Nonetheless, he had his own problems to deal with. He would have to gather his wits and perform to his best. These beasts were not making things easy. He still had a few tricks up his sleeves. Some that he would rather keep under the radar. If things didn’t clear up real fast then it was going to get tricky. Shit was moving incredibly quickly.

Nikitio couldn’t feel the vasto lordes. Their reiatsu was hidden as they hid amongst all the other Hollow. He looked at the students. Jaxon seemed to be holding her own rather well. Even if her eyes floated to and fro. She looked at everyone. She observed all that happened. A good trait assuming you kept it in check. Adam moved from Hollow to Hollow to cut them down. Good. That is how it should be. He was a bit violent with it, but this was no time for grace and stealth. This was a time for getting out alive. Tatsuya seemed to have the worst of luck. Not only did he nearly die on several occasions, but he got a boot to the face thanks to a Gillian class Menos.

”She is right. That is a Gillian Class Menos. Very deadly. Very dumb. You can take them down in teams.” He looked around. His mind floated back for a moment to the kido he had learned. He knew one way that he could save everyone. He knew one way that he could get them out of this alive. There was one way. Because as powerful as he was, he couldn’t hope to protect everyone here. He didn’t want to do it. And if he did, he would have to force everyone here to swear never to speak of it. Ever. Not with each other. Not with the Sotaicho. Not with their spirits. Nobody should know of his idea. Things were getting bad though. He thought about that day.

Nikitio had obtained what he wanted. He was a Captain. Not just a captain. He was a captain of the 2nd Division. He was the leader of the Onmitsukido. He had his Shikai. He had his Bankai. He was friends with Karasu. Karasu did annoy him at times. But that is what friends did. Nikitio sat up in his bed. His lean and muscled body was soft and flawless. As he sat up the soft sheets of his bed slid down his body. His chest was exposed. His arms were exposed. His lower half was covered. He was naked under the sheet. He always slept naked. The feel of clothing bothered him. If he could, he would walk without a shirt. Pants were fine. Underwear was out of the question. He never bought it. He never wore it. He stopped when he was about five. The feel of underwear on his penis just felt weird.

He looked out the window of his room. It was night time still. He had trouble sleeping. Mainly because of his depression. It kept him up a lot at night. It made it hard to sleep. It made it hard to stay asleep. He looked up at the moon of the Soul Society. It was always nicer at night. The sun bothered him. He didn’t like the daylight hours. It made him sick. He hated the day because it showed you things. There is no ignorance. There is no ignoring. The moon brings darkness. It brings shadows. It brings ignorance. You need not see what you don’t wish to see. You need not know what you don’t wish to know. Everything is an option. Daylight has no choice. It has no option. Your will means jack shit.

Nikitio slid out of his bed. He was well endowed for a spirit. He was still soft, but it was impressive. He stood up and rolled his neck. His ass was lovely as well. It was incredibly smooth and rather round for a male. Other males had enjoyed it. The thought of them sickened him. He never liked them. They were the reason he was who he was. He was cold, disconnected, emotionless. They were the reason. They were the cause. They were the final straw. They raped him. Nikitio looked into the mirror. The memory of that night plagued his mind. He could see their face. He knew them well. They were his old friends. This is why he despises friends. He holds those he knows at arm’s length away. He doesn’t want to be hurt again. Betrayal is a bitch to go through. He will never again be hurt. He cannot be.

He looked in the mirror. He glared at himself. Visions of his attackers stood around him. They snickered. They glared. They poked and teased. They kissed. They licked. They grunted and moaned. They finished. They vanished. He tightened his fist. He could feel his eyes start to water. He could feel his heart racing. He grinded his teeth together. He looked at himself. He saw his eyes. They were gathering tears. He lashed out. His fist punched the mirror. It shattered instantly. He looked down. Tears fell. He shook his head. He looked at his right arm. There were scars there. Many many self inflicted scars. They were on the underside of his arm. He also had a burn mark on his shoulder that faced the world. It was a burn mark he gained from his attackers. He scowled at himself. How pitiful he was. He was sulking over the past. Pathetic.

He decided to take a shower. He might as well get started on his day. He went to the shower. After standing in it for a while he sighed. He stretched and turned it on. The warm water hit him. It fell over his head. It went over his shoulders. The water was warm on his chest and back. It rolled over his groin. It traveled over his butt. It ran down his legs. It pooled at his feet. He got a wash cloth and soaped it up. He began to wash his body slowly. He even thought about his rape then. He couldn’t stand it. Why was he still thinking about it? It was so pathetic. There was no point to it. Why should he worry about it? It was in the past. He couldn’t change it now. He could only move on. So why did he hate himself still? Why did he fear himself? Why did he cry over this?

He continued to wash himself through tears. What was his problem? He was bound in place. His thoughts became his Hell. He built himself a prison. He was locked inside. The key was out of reach. He turned off the water. He looked at the water around his feet. He noticed how it pooled. He saw it swirl into the drain. Why couldn’t his problems be that easy? Why couldn’t they just go into the drain? He sighed as he stepped out of the shower. He couldn’t afford such things. This weakness was not good. This pitiful nature wasn’t okay. He would die. He would suffer. He would be wounded. His life was in danger. His life was fragile. It was not going to turn out okay. He shook his head. He had to be strong. He needed to be strong. He was going to be strong. No. He IS strong. He refused to have it any other way. It just wasn’t acceptable in the least.

When he had himself under control he walked to his room. It was still dark. It was only three in the morning. He had about another four hours. In four hours the sun would show. In four hours ignorance left. In four hours he’d be in a bad mood. He put on the sleeveless black clothes of the Shinigami. Along with no sleeves, therewas no back. There was a reason for this. Shunko. When used the arms were empowered. The back was as well. As such the back and sleeves were ripped apart. It was just how it went. He grabbed his haori. He put it on. His haori was different than most. The sleeves were large, but not really large. It was a bit fitted. It was large enough to hide his zanpakutos. It was thin enough to show his arms too. Around his torso it was tight. It was tight to fit him. It didn’t close. It showed his lean body. At his waist it flared out. It touched the ground with ease. The tail was flexible. Under the pants he had on his sandles. They were black as well. He put his zanpakuto in their wrist sheath.

He stood in his full body mirror. He had come so far. He would not fail now. He wouldn’t because he couldn’t. Weakness was not an option for him. He was a killer. He was a blizzard. He was cold. He was heartless. He was ruthless. He couldn’t afford weakness. Weakness was not okay. He was 2nd Division. He was Onmitsukido. He was Nikitio Uril. He was not weak. He could not be weak. Regrets were not an option. Weakness was not an option. He had to be strong. He would be strong. He is strong. He shook his head. He turned and walked out the door. His men were not here. A lot of them did guard duty at night. The barracks were slightly empty. A few people were here. The Onmitsukido was security. It was protection for Soul Society. His men were working overtime. Nikitio refused to have slackers. He wouldn’t ever have it. Nobody would show slack around here. Nobody.

He walked outside and looked around. The Seireitei was beautiful at night. He looked up at the sky. The stars shined bright. The moon was high and full. The one good thing about this place? No light pollution. All the stars could be seen. The moon was truly bright. He enjoyed this. The night sky was wonderful. He looked at the ground. He looked, specifically, in front of him. He began to walk the streets. He walked alone. He walked slowly. He noticed things. He noticed everything. He continued walking alone. He wanted to be alone. He didn’t want to walk with another. His hand would be without another. His body wouldn’t touch another. That was fine with him. He didn’t care. He wanted it that way. He liked it that way. Relying on himself was safe. It was how it was supposed to be. Why should it be any other way? He was fine. Why fix anything? Nothing was broken. Why look into something? Nothing was wrong.

He could feel them. His men were here. His men patrolled the area. They were unseen. They were not heard. Nikitio heard them. But he knew what to look for. He knew what was supposed to be there. He knew what wasn’t to be there. He knew. His men did good though. They were not obvious. They were not clear. They were incognito. They did not exist. They did not show themselves. They were ghosts. They were phantoms. That is how it should be. They were assassins. They should be neither seen nor heard. Nikitio saw a movement though. He stopped walking. One of his men came to him. He kneeled before Nikki. His one knee touched the ground. The other stood up. His head was down. His face looked at the raised knee. His one arm was folded between his leg and body. His other hand was in a fist and touching the ground.

”Report…” Nikitio was not in the mood for greetings. ”Sir. We are continuing to move. Our numbers have risen under your guidance. Our men are quicker. We are not seen as much. We have spotted several people fighting under night. A few people have been gambling. Others have been doing other illegal things. Our men are trying them now. So far no break-ins have occurred. The 12th Division reports no anomalies. The 11th Division reports no intruders either.” Nikitio listened as the man spoke. The entire time he stayed down there. Nikitio looked at him. His eyes were stoic. The man spoke politely. He spoke quietly. Nikitio nodded. ”Good. Get back to work.” The man bowed his head. ”Yes sir.” He stood. The man bowed again. He ran off and broke out into a shunpo.

Nikitio felt his reiatsu fade from range. That was when he began to walk again. He moved forward and looked up. It had only been fifteen minuets. It felt like two hours though. He sighed. It was going to be a long day. He just knew it. He looked at the street before him. He looked at the street behind him. His barracks were barely in view. He looked forward again. He began to walk. He had no aim. He wasn’t going anywhere. He just walked. Left foot went first. Then the right foot went. This is how it went. Left foot then right foot, and then left goes again. His body was relaxed. He thought about his Division. He had two members. A Vice-Captain, and a Third Seat. Adam seemed so much like it. It was like he was seeing himself. Adam was cold like he was. He was ruthless like he was. Things would get interesting.

Nikitio looked at the sky again. So many stars. So many possibilities. What was out there? Did the Soul Society have planets? What was out there? He wondered so often this question. What importance did it have? None. But still it didn’t matter. Nikitio thought about things a lot. It was important to him. He needed to. Why? Because it kept him sharp. He would be more aware. That is just how it was. Nikitio continued walking. He didn’t know where to go. He didn’t know what to do. He just walked. Something would happen. Something would come up. It always did. Why shouldn’t it? That’s what life was. One big surprise after another. Oh well though. Nikitio was content with it. Or as content as he could be for having depression.

Nikitio looked forward. He tilted his head. There was something coming. He smiled. IT was familiar. The reiatsu signature was of a friend. He leaned against a wall. He waited for the male to come. It was, of course, Derrick. Derrick always seemed to find him. Derrick was just around. Or maybe it was the other way around. Maybe it was he who found him. Nonetheless it didn’t matter. They always found each other. He smiled as the brown-haired male approached. His skin was smooth. His blue eyes were amused. He wore just a white t-shirt. His legs had on a pair of blue jeans. At the bottom he walked around without shoes. He waved to Nikki. Nikki waved back at him. Derrick then began to walk with Nikki. Nikki yawned.

”If you are tired. Sleep.” Nikitio shrugged. ”I cannot sleep. I don’t like sleeping either. Plus. I have sleep issues. Oh well. That is life. As we all know. Haha.” Nikitio laughed. Derrick laughed too. ”So. What are you doing? Why walk around? Are you going anywhere?” Nikitio had to laugh. ”You ask a lot of questions. I guess it comes from being taught Kido. Nonetheless. I am walking. Because I can. No.” Derrick rolled his eyes. He laughed. Nikitio laughed with him. Derrick let out a sigh. Nikitio arched an eyebrow at him. ”Problem?” Derrick shrugged. ”Na. I’m just tired.” Nikitio arched an eyebrow. ”So then why are you up?” Derrick sighed again.

”There are things I wanted to show you. Things within Kido. They are powerful Kido. Along with Number 99 Bakudo that is. I have just been debating if I should teach you. Both of us could get in big trouble for it. It just wouldn’t be a good thing to do…” Nikitio nodded. He understood what he was talking about. He remembered asking about such things at the Academy. ”I won’t tell you how to do your job. If you want to teach though…I will learn…” Nikitio shrugged. Derrick sighed. ”Come. I know you men are around. We’ll talk in private.”

Derrick began to walk. Nikitio followed him. They walked for a while. They walked in silence. Nikitio knew his men were around. While they were talking back then too. They were there. But they were also kind of far. He doubted any of them could hear them. If they could it’d be bad. They would also be being followed. Because they weren’t being followed it was fine. Nikitio wondered where Derrick was taking him. He realized that they were headed to the Senkai Gate. It was just a different route. Sure enough they were. Within a few minuets they arrived. Nikitio waited for Derrick to open the gate. Derrick walked in. Nikki followed. Soon they were out of the Soul Society.

When they came out of the Soul Society they stood on a mountain top. This was odd. He had never been to the mountains. There was a lot of hills. There was snow up here. Clouds were a few hundred feet below them. There were a few animals around. They were littered around the place. The beasts lurked below though. The Hollow stalked the place. They hunted. They were busy with pray. He knew some of them sensed him. Some of them sensed Derrick. But they didn’t come. They didn’t move closer to him. They didn’t move closer to Derrick. Nikitio looked down. He could not see. The clouds blocked his vision. He didn’t care though. He felt a few Shinigami. There were a handful of quincy. None of them bothered. They were not heavy in this area. Interesting.

Nikitio looked at Derrick. Derrick looked down. He kicked a rock off the mountain. He sighed. He met Nikitio’s gaze. ”What is it, Derrick?” Derrick pointed at Nikitio. ”Bakudo number ninety-nine. Kin.” Nikitio stood still as he cast the Kido. Nikitio’s arms were bound behind his back. He looked around. The fabric was in an X shape. They bound him tight. They forced him down. He looked again as he heard something. Blocks fell from the sky. They landed on the fabric. It went up to his body then stopped. He couldn’t move at all. He was totally restricted. Derrick looked down at him. ”This is the first part of the final Bakudo. I will not use the second half on you. It is far too deadly. But you’ll know how to do it. I promise you that much.” Derrick snapped. The Bakudo dissolved. Nikitio stood and rubbed his arms. They were sore. Those bindings are tight. Nikitio looked at Derrick. Derrick smiled. Nikitio shook his head.

He pointed at Derrick. This was a powerful Kido. Nikitio sighed calmly as he pointed at his teacher. It felt weird that he was still being taught after so long. He had left the Academy behind. He graduated. He moved on. He was no longer a student. He wasn’t a seated officer. He wasn’t weak. He was a captain. He was the strongest captain here. At least he was next to the Captain Commander. But here he was. Learning. Being taught kido. Being shown how to do things. How odd that this is fate. This is how it should be. That even after gaining power he learns. Even after learning his lessons he learns. That he should be subject to these teachings. What did that say about life? Was there anything to say about life? If Fate was real. If Fate was false. Who is to say? The most he could do was smile and nod at it. The ideas of Fate were nothing to him. He didn’t believe in it. He didn’t not believe in it. If it is then it is. If it isn’t then it isn’t. And if it should be then it should be. If it was then it was. Nothing he could do would change that. He just had to smile and nod.

He took a deep breath. He centered himself. He could feel his core. He could see himself. He calmed down. He shoved all doubt out of his mind. It held no purpose here. Why should he doubt himself? That would lead to failure. That was not an option by any means. He thought back to the time he learned to become a cat. An ancient technique. He didn’t mean to find it. But he did. It was hidden under a series of panels under the captain’s desk at his barracks. He found it when he was moving everything around. He didn’t like how it was originally set up. It looked weird. So he changed it. Simple as that.

He was moving the desk. He had already moved the books. He moved a chest. He moved the T.V. And he moved the sofas. All that was left was the desk. He pushed and it moved. It was heavier than it looked. Nikitio pushed through though. He continued moving the desk. He pushed it. He made it bend to his will. It moved. He pushed it to be in front of the window. Originally it faced the window. He didn’t like that. If he wants to look outside he will. He won’t be subject to being forced to though. That was out of the question.

When Nikitio moved the desk it was weird. He swore the floor felt different. It was harder. Not by much, but it was harder. It wouldn’t be felt by any who weren’t the captain though. It was just too sensitive. Unless you had training specifically from the captain. Nikitio knelt by the spot. He looked at it. It looked the same. It looked to be on the same level as well. He ran his hand over it. It was a cover up. There was something there. Nikitio felt the board. He figured he had to break it open. So he did. He sent his fist crashing through it. He didn’t pull his hand out. He just left it in there. He looked around for what lay in here. He felt it. It was a small scroll. He lifted it up.

When he looked at the thing it was dusty. He frowned. He took a breath and blew on it. The dust flew up. He waved it away. He unrolled the scroll. ”Bakudo number eighty-nine…Neko…” He looked at it. It had no incantation. It was just a name. There wasn’t much to it. Just the name and the description. It turns you into a cat. After learning it once you never needed to speak it. Interesting. This could come in handy. Apparently it blocked your reiatsu. It left you defenseless though. You could use shunpo still though. Your speed was highly reduced though. Or at least you spent more energy. Nikitio looked this over. It was very interesting. Nikitio had to admit it caught his attention. Few things did. But information was number one on that list. He was a firm believer in an old saying. Knowledge is power.

That other one was bullshit to him. Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. No. It wasn’t power that corrupts. It’s the knowledge that you have power. Knowing that you hold other’s lives. Knowing that you can do anything. Knowing that nothing can stop you. That is what corrupts. That is what hurts. That is what gets you killed. Nikitio wasn’t so foolish as to give in like that. He was the master of his mind. He was the ruler of his body. The lord of his actions. And the bane of his existence. He hated himself. He loved himself. He was a battlefield. The war was fought against himself. This kept him in check. This kept him in balance. It kept him sane. He rolled the scroll up. He would learn it.

Nikitio waited until nightfall. He had to do paperwork all day. He was looking through student profiles. He looked at reports. He conversed with the 12th Division. He was updated on technology usage. He had a meeting with the captains. He spoke with the 11th Division. Mainly the 11th Division received his time. They had no captain. He had to watch over them the most. Why? Because they also protected Soul Society. It was needed. He had to make sure their men and his got along. They were polar opposites almost. The 11th Division wanted to charge in. His men hung back. They knew better. Nikitio made damn sure of that. He sighed after his day was over. It was exhausting. He just wanted to sleep. He had business though.

He went to his desk. The touched the lock and it opened. It was designed to respond only to his reiatsu. It was a favor from the 12th Division. He took out the scroll and looked at it. It didn’t look easy at all. It seemed rather hard. It gave no instructions either. The only instruction given was not to share it. This information was sensitive. If you could do this you were like God. You could come and go as you please. You could be as hidden as you wished. Nothing could stop you from coming and going. You could spy. You could get away quickly still. You could hide. It was a powerful Bakudo. He sighed deeply at it. How was he going to do this? Derrick had showed him everything up to that point. He doubted Derrick knew of this. He probably knew it was possible. No. Not probably. He did know it was possible. But he didn’t know how to do it. Which explained a lot. It also made sense.

Nikitio sat the scroll down. He looked at it. He willed the answer to come. It had to come. If it didn’t what could he do? He’d be stuck in this body. What if he was stuck in that body though? How would he get out? The paper didn’t say. It gave no answers. It only pulled questions. No knowledge came from this. Only wonders. It would be hard to do. It showed you no information. How would this work. Nikitio risked a lot with this. He sighed at looked at it. It was scary. It was nerve-wracking. How was this going to play out? Only time would tell. Enough putting this off. Nikitio had to do it. He’d faced worse. He’d seen worse. He knew worse. There was worse. Being stuck as a cat wasn’t bad. He would get used to it.

He sighed as he stood up. He stood at the front of his desk. He whispered the words softly. ”Bakudo number eighty-nine…Neko…” Nothing happened. He wasn’t focusing. He wasn’t concentrating. He needed to focus. He needed to think. He needed to focus. Nikitio took a breath. He let out a sigh. It was a deep sigh. It was a lengthy sigh. He closed his eyes. He opened them again. ”Bakudo number eighty-nine…Neko.” Smoke rose up from his feet instantly. Nikitio felt strange. He felt weird. He felt his bones arranging. It hurt. It felt really painful. Some faded into nothing. Others grew. His muscles shrank. He also gained muscles. He felt himself getting smaller. He looked at the ground. It was getting closer.

He felt himself grow parts. His ears grew. Hairs sprouted. A tail formed. He became digitigraded. This means he was on his toes. He bent over. He felt more limber. He felt a massive amount of muscles in his ears. He knew a thing about cats. They had thirty-two muscles in each ear. He shook his head as the smoke faded. He looked around. He was on the ground. He walked to the mirror. He looked at himself. He was a medium sized black cat. No. He wasn’t black. He was a very very dark blue. It seemed black, but when the light shined on the coat it came back blue. His eyes were a golden yellow. It reminded it of Karasu.

”This is befitting of you. Curious. Tiny. Strange. Yes. This fits you very much so.” Nikitio glared at the mirror. He was looking at Karasu though. He could see the spirit. He knew he wasn’t truly there though. It made him feel better. Nikitio walked to the desk. He pushed the scroll off the desk. He got on the floor and pushed it under the desk. That was the best he could do. He jumped up on the chair. From there he went out the window. It was not a high jump. He landed safely on the floor. He was pleased with this. It was something he hadn’t experienced. He was always flexible. He could bend himself in ways people only dreamed of. Now though he was still so much more flexible.

He walked around the Seireitei. Nobody really paid him any mind. He just wandered. Nobody seemed to even notice him. He could sense them. This was a one way connection though. He could sense them. They couldn’t sense him. It was interesting. He wandered from barracks to barrack. Still. Nobody noticed him. One of the female officers eventually did. She held him. She told him he was cute. She pet him. Nikitio didn’t speak though. The petting was nice. It was almost mesmerizing. She scratched him behind his ears. Eventually she had to let him go. Nikitio got off her lap. He needed to go back to his room.

He used his shunpo to make it through to the Serireitei. It was harder. It took more steps. He finally made it to his window. He jumped up onto the windowsill. He got inside. He jumped onto the chair. He slipped down. He went under the desk. He pushed the scroll out. He looked at it. He saw new things now. Writing that was there that he didn’t notice before. It told him to just focus on his human form. He did. Smoke instantly arose. He could feel the process reversing itself. He felt himself get taller. Bones grew. Bones were placed. Muscles shrunk. Some muscles grew. Some faded. He felt his tale going back in. His feet touched the ground fully. His souls touched it. His back straightened up. It felt almost as good as going into a cat. Which means it hurt. It hurt a lot. Nikitio didn’t cry out though.

He was finally a human. He was his old self again. He felt odd though. He looked at the mirror. He was naked. That is what was wrong. He rolled his eyes. This was an odd development. It could be hard to get used to. He went to the closet. He put on the black uniform. This uniform is one that all Shinigami have. His was different though. Shunko tore at his arms and back. This meant that whatever is there is blown away. So it was left without sleeves. The back was gone too. There was no need for it. He didn’t bother with his haori. Most knew his face already. There was no question to his captainship. He donned Karasu though.

He chuckled as he looked at the scroll and sealed it up again. He chuckled again. He had learned something new. Nobody knew about it. Was anyone allowed to know he knew. Should they know? Why should they? It was a tricky question. It was so odd. To be able to be a cat is odd. Being a cat is odd. He heard so many things. He saw things. He knew things. What could he do now? What was he supposed to do? So many questions. So many thoughts. Only time would tell. He didn’t know how to feel. He wanted to know. He liked to know. He be ignorant wasn’t fun. To be ignorant wasn’t cool. He didn’t like it. He wanted to know. But he couldn’t. Damn it all.

Nikitio looked at Derrick. The man was quiet handsome. He stood there. He was ready. He was willing. He wanted Nikitio to learn. He wanted him to use the Bakudo. Nikitio would. He would do this. He could do this. It was impossible not to. It was his calling. He sighed. It was a short sigh. It was relaxed. He was just letting out air. It was what he needed. He centered himself. He focused. He wanted this to work. He needed it to work. It certainly would work. Nikitio looked at Derrick again. He really looked at him. He thought about the Bakudo. He knew what he wanted to be done. He knew how to get it. It was all a matter of just doing it.

”Bakudo number ninty-nine. Kin.” The Bakudo instantly took effect. The spirit fabric wrapped around Derrick. It bound his arms together. Right after the stones fell. It held the fabric in place. Derrick had been forced down. He was held in place. He was unable to move. Nikitio knew this. Nikitio snapped and released the Bakudo. Derrick stood up. He rubbed his arms as well. ”Indrecible…Very impressive. Here is the second half. This is Bakudo Number Ninty-nine…part two…Bakin. First Song: Halting Fabric. Second Song: Hundred Linked Bolts. Final Song: Great Seal of 10,000 Forbiddings.” Nikitio turned. He was using it on one of the few wildlife around here.

The first thing that happened was similar to the first part. Fabric wrapped around the poor beast. It surrounded it completely. It was bound. The second thing was a bit more violent. Mental bolts stabbed it. It pierced the fabric. It pierced the skin. It was embedded in the beast. A few actually stuck out on the other side. The final thing was surprising. A GIANT block fell. This was not just house big. This was skyscraper big. It fell hard and fast. It was meant to kill. It was not there for amusement. It was not there to play games. It was there to obliterate someone. He stood there though. He watched. He was ready. He cut off his emotions. It landed hard. It landed quickly. It smushed the beast. It kill him instantly. Nikitio sighed. Nikitio didn’t know how to respond. He could see why Derrick didn’t want to use it on him. Nikitio could die. This kido was powerful. It would take a lot of energy to break.

Nikitio nodded to Derrick. Derrick smiled at him. Nikitio smiled back. Nikitio looked at a large boulder. It would have to do for a target. ” Bakudo Number Ninty-nine…part two…Bakin. First Song: Halting Fabric. Second Song: Hundred Linked Bolts. Final Song: Great Seal of 10,000 Forbiddings.” The first thing that happened was similar to the first part. Fabric wrapped around the rock. It surrounded it completely. It was bound. The second thing was a bit more violent. Mental bolts stabbed it. It pierced the fabric. It pierced the thing. It was embedded in the rock. A few actually stuck out on the other side. The final thing was a block. A giant block fell. It crushed the boulder. Nothing was left. Nikitio sighed. He had done two level ninty-nine bakudo back to back. He was exhausted.

Derrick bit his lower lip. Nikitio looked at him. Something was up. Nikitio walked up to him. Derrick pulled out a cigarette. Nikitio stopped him. ”Talk.” Derrick sighed. He looked around. Nikitio knew he was searching. Nikitio did too. There was nobody around. ”I will show you something. I could get in a ton of trouble for this. So if you’re going to use it, make sure it is OUTSIDE of the Soul Society. Cause you could get in trouble for using it. Just hearing about it is bad. You must swear this to me.” Nikitio looked at Derrick. He could feel his pulse. It was beating fast. He was nervous. He was being honest. Nikitio nodded. ”I swear. I will not use it in the Soul Society…unless…unless it’s needed. I doubt it will come to that. But it could. If it does, I must regret to inform you I will. Is that acceptable?” Derrick sighed. He got his hand back. He lit the cigarette. He put it in his mouth. He began to use it. ”Fine. Whatever. Let’s just get this over with. I don’t want to get caught.

This first one is called Jikanteishi. It freezes time in any given area. Wherever you can see you can. The area is rather wide. It all depends on what you want to freeze. It can halt anything. It can freeze a flying bird. It can freeze a fireball. It can stop a fire. Get it? Good. Now then. It has no incantation. It just goes. Pay attention. Jikanteishi.”
As he spoke the name he closed his hands together. He lifted one up. His energy was released. It flew all around them. As his hand moved up a green cylinder was created. ”Throw a rock.” Nikitio did as he was told. He threw it. The cylinder glowed. It glowed brighter and brighter. There was a five foot circle around the flying rock on the ground. It was also green. It began to glow. Nikitio just stared.

The rock had stopped. It didn’t move. It didn’t move at all. It was just there. It hovered. Nikitio didn’t know what to say or do. ”I am sure you know the dangers of this.” Nikitio nodded. He did. There were many many possibilities. It was no mystery why this was forbidden. Why students were not taught this. The captains as well. It was just not to be played with. Nikitio shook his head. This was an incredible power. Was he really to wield it? What gave him this right? What made him able to command time? Could he accept this power? He had to. Derrick showed him. Now he had to learn. Nikitio sighed. He had started this path. Now he had to finish it. There was no other way.

Nikitio looked at Derrick. Derrick ended the kido and the rock continued it’s course. ”Hurry and cast it. I don’t want this to take too long.” Nikitio nodded. He took in a deep breath. He clapped his hands together. He held them there tight. Nikitio focused. He centered himself. He dug deep for this one. ”Jikanteishi.” He thought about stopping time. He saw time in his own way. He saw it as a grid. A grid that moved. It went this way and that. He focused on stopping the movement of that grid. He saw it so clearly. He saw it so perfectly. It was there. As it slowed down he parted his hands. He could feel the warmth of the green cylinder. It felt weird. Energy flowed through him. It wasn’t natural though. This was something unnatural. Things shouldn’t be like this. But it was. He was defying nature right now.

His own reiatsu flew around him. He focused on a spot about ten feet away from him. The circle appeared. The cylinder glowed. The circle glowed. They shined bright. Nikitio looked at it. He didn’t lose focus. In the back of his mind he was happy. Derrick picked up a rock. He threw it into the circle. It stopped as soon as it entered. Nikitio did it. Jikanteishi was his. He now had time as an ally. It was now his to command. This was incredibly scary to him. As well it should be. This was not a toy. This was not some child’s play kido. This was the real deal. The limit of a kido depended solely upon the user. Imagination was it’s only limitation. Nikitio sighed.

”There is one more that I shall teach you. There is another, but it is a Hado spell. You have not yet done Hado. Because of that, I see no reason why we should even go into it. Nonetheless. This one is called Kukanten’i. It is like it’s brother. It can bend reality. It can defy nature. It breaks the rules of life. It moves things. It can teleport anything you wish. Wherever it originally was, it can move it. Kukanten’i teleports. Watch…Kukanten’i.” Derrick pointed at the two rocks. A green circle shined under them. The light got blinding. The brighter it got, the harder it was for Nikitio to see it. Eventually it went full power. As it died down a beam was summoned. It went up into the sky. As it went up it was broad. Eventually it shrunk into nothingness. The rocks were not there anymore. Nikitio looked around. They were standing behind Nikitio. He looked at them and arched an eyebrow. That was interesting.

”Do it. Now.” Nikitio nodded. He thought about this kido. It was incredibly powerful as well. Time and space. Both were siblings. Who was he to command them? Was he God? Was he given this choice because he had power? Was that all there was? He had power so he could know these things. He had power so he could command these things? Nikitio didn’t want to believe it. That was complete bullshit. He sighed though. He saw that grid from before. All of those lines. This time he focused on stopping the grid, AND moving the lines. This made the squares bigger. He parted his lips. He parted those soft gentle lips.

”Kukanten’i.” He pointed at the two rocks. A green circle shined under them. The light got blinding. The brighter it got, the harder it was for Nikitio to see it. Eventually it went full power. As it died down a beam was summoned. It went up into the sky. As it went up it was broad. He had thought about where it should go. He willed it to go. He willed it to go away. He willed it to be somewhere. And it obeyed. The beam died down. The rocks were gone. He looked past Derrick. There they were. Derrick smiled and clapped. ”Master Nikitio of Time and Space. The ruler of reality. The king of all. Now that you know them. Remember your promise. These are dangerous kido. I believe you can handle them well though. Do not let me down. Now for Hado. This is Hado number one. Sho.” As he said the name he pointed to a boulder. It blew a large hole in it. It didn’t move though. ”It’s supposed to move, but the size won’t let it. Nonetheless. This can blow a hole in things. It’s main use is to blow things away. Before you attempt this let me explain about Hado a bit.

You already know Bakudo. It is the art of binding. It restricts movement. It can do various things like tracking. It is a very effective way to kill. You can do many things with Bakudo besides just holding someone. Hado is different. It has no other use. It has no hidden power. Hado is pure destruction. There is no binding. There is no tracking. There is no thought. Hado is the essence of kill or be killed. It’s powers can be small like Sho. It’s powers can be big like number sixty-nine. It doesn’t matter. In the hands of a master Sho will kill you. Sho could blast your arm off. It could even blast your head off. Do not take this lightly. I do not need to see how you managed to get yourself killed because you weren’t paying attention. Or something like that. Hado is incredibly dangerous. A lot of the techniques tend to turn on the user. I have seen it before. You must have incredibly control over it.

As I already said that was Sho. It is not hard to master. It can be quiet handy too. Despite being a Hado there are plenty of practical uses for it. The next one, however, no. After Sho it gets pretty unpractical. It focused entirely on the death of someone. You must have an iron grip on your kido. If you do not then you will die. Understand? Sure? Good. Now do it.”
As Derrick checked to make sure he understood, Nikitio nodded. He nodded again. He felt like he was back at the Academy. He felt like he was at square one again. It was almost comical to him. He rolled his neck. He pointed at the same boulder. He focused on it. He could see the Hado. He knew what he wanted to be done. He knew how to get it. But would this work? This wasn’t like a Bakudo. This wasn’t a Bakudo at all. This was a Hado. The polar opposite. So what was to be done? Bakudo was simpler to learn. It was easy. Was there a desire to kill here? Would that make it work? Nikitio shoved such thoughts away. He had no time for them.

”Hado number one. Sho.” He said softly. The blast came out of his finger. It wasn’t a huge one but it was there. It hit the rock and made a small dent. Nikitio looked at Derrick. Derrick tapped his finger to his lips. He stood there. His blue eyes looking at the damage done. He looked at Nikki. He looked to his finger. He looked to the boulder. Then back at Nikki. ”You’re restricting the flow of energy. You have to let it out of you. Restrict it still. But not to your degree. This is not Bakudo anymore. You are TRYING to hurt someone now. You want them to feel pain. So do it. Stop holding back. Let the energy flow through you. Let it touch your finger. Let it out.” Nikitio nodded. He refocused on the boulder. ”Hado number one. Sho.” His voice was soft. He let the energy move though.

It traveled through him quickly. As soon as he said Sho, it flew out. It rammed out his finger. It traveled in that invisible bolt it does. It smashed into the rock. It left a lot more damage than before. Derrick smiled and nodded. ”Good job, Uril Taicho. Now then. The next one is Hado number four. Byakurai. This one just fires a bolt of energy out of you. Like I said. No practical use. Unless you see killing as a practical use. Anyway. Watch. Then copy. Clear? Good.” Derrick raised his finger. He pointed at the boulder that had taken so much damage. He parted his lips. ”Hado number…hado…hado!” He sneezed. Nikitio had to laugh. Derrick just glared at him. Nikitio waved him off and laughed more. Derrick grumbled. ”Hado number four. Byakurai.” After he spoke it happened. Just like he said. It was a pale bolt of energy. It also looked like lightning. Nikki would call it lightning. Nonetheless. It was fired. It hit the boulder. It destroyed part of it.

Derrick looked at Nikitio. He smiled. ”Now. You try. Sneezing seems to help.” Nikitio grinned. ”I’m so sure…” Nikitio looked at the boulder. He held out a finger. He had to relax. To let the energy flow. Hado was meant to kill. It wanted power. It wanted energy. If you didn’t give it to him, it would starve. Nikitio sighed softly. He let the power flow through him. This wasn’t a Bakudo. It’s nature was to kill. It’s nature was to destroy. So kill it would. Destroy it would. ”Bakudo…no. Erm…no.” He blushed. Derrick fell down laughing. His legs kicked in the air. He clenched his stomach. He rolled from side to side. He was really getting a kick out of this one. Nikitio shook his head. He parted his lips gently. ”Hado number four. Byakurai.”

He left the power go through him. It was drawn out by his finger. As soon as it connected it fired. The lightning bolt came out of his finger. It zipped forward. It smashed into the rock. It went out the other side. Exactly like Derricks. Nikitio broke the river of power. The lightning faded. Derrick got up. He nodded his head and reached inside of his pocket. He grabbed a long piece of string. ”This is the final easy one. After this it get hard. This is also the last one before one with an incantation. This one can be helpful. How many times have you wanted to waste someone because he wrapped you up? Well now you can. This one is Hado number…eleven. Tsurzuri Raiden. What does it do? Simple. It sends out an electric current. Whatever you touch will be the conductor. It will shock anything on the other end. Like so…” Derrick tossed the string into a nearby stream.

When it touched the water he spoke. He held onto the end of the string tightly. ”Hado number eleven. Tsurzuri Raiden.” He touched the rope with his free hand and Nikitio saw it. There was a spark. It gained a lot of power. It traveled through the string. Nikitio watched as it did. It moved quickly. It moved visibly. It moved as Derrick wanted it to. It touched the water. Nikitio knew it shocked it. He knew by the fish. They rose up from the surface. ”They aren’t dead. They are just stunned. It’s fine though. They would die before the year is up anyway. A lot of the wildlife here is sick. A lot of pollution problems occur up here. Oh well though. Anyway. You try. Here.” He handed the string to Nikki. Nikitio accept it and smiled.

The string felt nice. It was soft between his hands. Nikitio looked at the lake. He observed the lake. He took a deep breath. He cleared his head. He focused on the world around him. He began to focus on the lightning he was to summon. He would need this energy. He focused his abilities on the string. The energy he held. The power he wielded. The things he could do. He sighed peacefully. He gripped the rope. ”Hado number eleven…Tsurzuri Raiden.” He let the energy flow. He touched his free hand to the rope. It was slow and graceful like Derrick had done. Nikitio allowed his energy to flow. It flowed from his core to his finger. When it came out, electricity was produced. Nikitio allowed it to move. He felt his mind melt in with the current. He had control over it. He directed it forward. He willed it to move forward. He pushed it to. It touched the water. The already risen fish stayed that way. Nikitio cut off the power.

Nikitio looked to Derrick. He collected the string. He handed it to Derrick. Derrick collected it and put it in his pocket. Nikitio folded his arms loosely. Derrick thought for a moment. ”We could stop here. Or…we could continue. Which do you prefer?” Nikitio smiled. ”Let’s continue. Why should we stop? We have all the time in the world. Right?” Derrick shrugged. He looked at Nikitio and then to the demolished rock. ”This next one is level thirty-one. It is a popular one amongst the Shinigami. Why? I don’t know. It just is. Who cares though. It’s useful. Especially when you don’t have to cast it with the incantation. It’s long and annoying. You trained for Bakudo without an incantation. You can train for this without it too. So it’s truly no big deal. Nonetheless. It fires a ball of red energy at the enemy. It is powerful. It is fast. It will explode in your face. Of course…it will only explode if not used correctly. Trust me. I have seen it done before. And no. It hasn’t happened to me. This is one of those kido you have to look out for. If you keep the energy backed up it’ll explode. Now watch. Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Inferno and pandemonium, the sea barrier surges, march on to the south! Hado number thirty-one. Shakkaho.”

As he spoke the incantation he held out his hand to the rock. His palm was outwards. As he spoke red energy gathered. It gathered quickly as he neared the end. It formed into a large sphere of red. The energy sat there in the palm of his hand. After he spoke the name he released the energy. The ball fired away. It blew up the boulder they had worn down. Nikitio arched an eyebrow. This was it. This was something he could get used to. Such a destructive power. Hardly something as powerful as the Forbidden Kido. Nikitio smiled at the boulder. ”As I showed you you can use it as a single shot. Or you can use it as one long beam. Watch. Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Inferno and pandemonium, the sea barrier surges, march on to the south! Hado number thirty-one. Shakkaho.” As he spoke the incantation he held out his hand to the rock. His palm was outwards. As he spoke red energy gathered. It gathered quickly as he neared the end. It formed into a large sphere of red. The energy sat there in the palm of his hand. After he spoke the name he released the energy.

Unlike last time, however, it didn’t shoot out like a ball. It went out like a blast of energy. Like a beam almost. It traveled in a straight line. Nikito just watched. He didn’t say a word. He didn’t look interested. He was happy with this Kido though. That much was evident by Nikitio looking at the Kido. The beam continued. It went on for a few seconds. Then it died down. Nikitio looked at Derrick. Derrick smiled. ”Well? Go for it.” Nikitio nodded. He looked at another boulder. He centered himself. He released his energy in his body. He raised his hand. The energy touched it. He could feel the warmth there. He just had to speak the words. As his lips parted, he formed them. ” Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Inferno and pandemonium, the sea barrier surges, march on to the south! Hado number thirty-one. Shakkaho.”

Nikitio watched as the red ball of energy formed. It started with red swirling energy. It then began to grow. It got larger and larger. Once it was about the size of his palm he finished. He let it go. But he cut the flow of energy off entirely. This allowed for it to just be fired off. It flew away from him. It looked like a flying red sphere of energy. It crashed against the boulder. He didn’t feel a connection. This meant he couldn’t control it. Once it left it was gone. It was on a bee line trajectory. Nikitio watched as it blew up the large rock. Nikitio held out his hand again. The palm faced another rock. “Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Inferno and pandemonium, the sea barrier surges, march on to the south! Hado number thirty-one. Shakkaho.”[/color] Again the ball formed. This time though he let the feed continue. This resulted in a beam of energy. It overpowered the boulder and destroyed it without a problem. Derrick smiled and clapped.

”Normally it takes a few weeks for someone to be able to learn to do that. But I guess a Captain would be able to effortlessly. Anyway. Lets try to get that one down without an incantation. Then I think you’ll be good to go for that, right? Right. Now then. You have already experienced it without the incantation. So just try to do it with this. I’m sure you’ll do fine.” Nikitio nodded. He took in a deep breath. This wasn’t going to be easy at all. It would take a lot of work and effort. Nikitio rolled his neck gently. He tried to loosen his muscles. He thought back to when he had a lesson with Derrick. Karasu had pulled him into his world. He remembered that day clearly. Nikitio felt he knew what Karasu was speaking of so long ago.

Nikitio was resting easy. The last thing his mind remembered was Derrick sitting by him. The other male had taken out a cig and lit it up. He let out a soft sigh. His eyes were heavy and dark. It seemed like he was thinking heavily upon something. Something he shouldn’t be thinking about. What was it? Was it this bad? Was it Nikki? Was it something he had done? Something he will do? Whatever it was, made Derrick shiver. Derrick stood up and looked down at Nikitio. Derrick’s eyes were dark. His face still. The cig was in his hand still. His lips were flat. His body still. He didn’t move. He didn’t breathe it seemed. He just looked at Nikitio. Nikitio, for what he could do, looked up at him. He was too tired to speak. Too exhausted to move. He wanted to know what was wrong. Derrick was never like this for long.

Nikitio couldn’t keep his eyes open for much longer. Derrick walked away with a sigh. He was thinking about something. Something dark and depressing. It was like he was battling himself. Nikitio would find out. He would wake up soon. When he did they would talk. Derrick would tell Nikitio everything. Nikitio couldn’t let Derrick go through this. Not alone anyway. Nikitio wanted to help him. Derrick would take his help. This wasn’t an option Derrick had. Derrick had helped Nikki. He helped him in many ways. He taught him things about himself. He showed him so many cool things. It wasn’t fair for him to have to go through this. Whatever the moral or inner issue was, Nikki would help. What else could he do? Sit around and let him just suffer? No. That wasn’t an option Nikitio was going to put on the table. Either he would help him, or he’d help him.

For now, Nikitio needed sleep. He couldn’t focus properly. He was too tired. Having cast and held all those kido. Derrick thought he was doing wonderful. Nikitio knew there were better. He knew people had done better. He even knew people WOULD do better. It wasn’t something he could control. He didn’t want to anyway. There was always going to be someone better than you at one point or another. On that note, he was taken away. By this point he was used to it. It also seemed a lot less restricted. He was free to move. Like the bridge was less crowded. Nikitio arrived in a familiar setting. This time though the man had company. Could it be called company? The other thing there was a humanoid. It was about the Spirit’s height. He had the same arm length. He had the same shouldn’t width. He had the same everything. He had no eyes though. No visible nose. No visible mouth. When he turned to look at Niktio is when he saw it. There were no facial features at all. He didn’t even have ears. How were you supposed to tell front from back?

Nikitio looked down and noticed the feet. They indicated front from back. It was looking at Nikitio. He didn’t know how, but it was. Nikitio looked from the thing to the spirit. He couldn’t tell which scared him more. They were both rather terrifying in their own right. It was just something Nikki would have to deal with. Nikitio looked at the spirit and smiled. The spirit nodded and looked to the shadow thing. He nodded and the shadow vanished. Nikitio looked around. It wasn’t a magician vanishing. It was the use of shunpo. He felt something shift behind him. Air currents. Why did he feel that though? Nikitio rolled forward nonetheless when he felt it. Luckily he did too. The humanoid figure threw a punch at the space his head had just occupied. Nikitio got to his feet. What was going on here? Why was he being attacked? Why wasn’t the spirit doing anything?

The shadow thing came after Nikitio again. It kicked, and Nikitio countered with his own. They met with crossed legs in the air. Nikitio and the shadow withdrew and jumped back. Nikitio looked at the spirit as the shadow stopped. ”This is a lesson for you. Don’t let your guard down. The more you do, the more likely you are to be surprised. Do not toy with elements you do not understand. Do not let your guard down. Do you insist on doing this?” This is how it had been last time too. Short and sweet. Well, maybe not sweet. His tone was apathetic. The yellow irises were still fearful, but lost some amusement. That made them look worse. Spirit had been acting strange lately. A Zanpakuto was a reflection, more or less. It was identical to the owner. Was Nikitio like this? Was this who he was? Did he want to be this?

Nikitio couldn’t make sense of any of this. This guy had changed greatly from the start of things. What was he supposed to do? Who was the true owner here? Nikitio knew who he was supposed to be in charge. But the power wasn’t his. The power belonged to the Spirit. It was not up to him what powers he was granted. He got what the spirit gave. Until he knew his name, he wouldn’t be allowed to know what the spirit’s name was. Nikitio knew what he was asking. He knew what he was talking about. Nikitio was a Hakuda lover. He understood it. He used it. He ate it. He breathed it. He slept with it. He awoke with it. Nothing could replace Hakuda. Despite his love for such a thing, he was here. Here, studying Kido. Here studying long range fighting. Here learning something other than Hakuda. Was he really prepared to continue with this? Hell yes. He was ready. He was going to do it. He was going to continue. He would find the balance between Hakuda and Kido. They are one in the same. Two halves of the same whole.

Nikitio looked at the spirit. He was looking for something. What was he looking for. Why did he care? He wanted information. Lately he had done things this way. He would seemingly dance around the bush. In reality though he was just fishing for answers. Why? Why had this suddenly changed? Why had he decided that this was better? Why? Why? Why? Nikitio wanted answers too. When he knew his name, he would ask. He would find out. He would be sure to figure these things out. For now, there was a question. For now he had something to answer. He had something to think about. No. He didn’t have to think about anything. He didn’t need to. He knew exactly what the answer was. He knew that the spirit wasn’t going to like it. He could go to Hell though. Nikitio didn’t care. This was his fight. It would help him. The spirit would either remember that or he wouldn’t.

”Damn straight I do. I am going to keep doing this. I will continue my Hakuda practice. I will continue my Hoho practice. I will continue my Kido practice. If you don’t like that then oh well. My fight. My life. My body.” The spirit chuckled and shook his head. ”You are such a human.”

Nikitio truly felt he understood that day now. He understood what Karasu meant. Progression. It was what it meant to be human. Curiosity. It was what it meant to have humanity. Between those two, you were a true human. Back then, Nikitio was more human than Shinigami. He was not a human anymore. He had to stop acting like it. He knew what he was doing now though. He understood it. He knew it inside and out. So there was nothing to fear from this.

He took a breath. He let it out. ”Hado number thirty-one. Shakkaho!” He executed it perfectly. A red sphere formed. A red sphere grew. A red sphere was fired and blew up a bit of the mountain. Again. ”Hado number thirty-one. Shakkaho!” This time it was a beam. But again it was perfect. He did it. He had it. This would be a useful tool indeed.

Nikitio looked at the Gillian. He looked at the other Hollow. There were so many. He sighed. ”Damnit…” He snapped his fingers. A thin blue line appeared next to him. It was about ten feet long. With another snap it snapped open. Inside was a beautiful floral land. Nikitio opened his mouth. ”Sing for me!” His voice rose. It was a beautiful voice. Soft. Full of years of singing. Nikitio didn’t usually sing. Not unless he used this move. The birds liked it. His voice was sweet. It was soft. He could hit rather high notes. And he did when he spoke the word “me”. Most were surprised about his abilities.

The portal was flooded with black figures. The only sound aside from Nikitio’s amazingly beautiful singing voice, of which was still holding the note in the word “me”, was beating wings. Soon the sounds of birds pierced the air. The birds circled around Nikitio. ”Kill my loves. Rip them to shreds, and obey my desires. I wish to see this world on fire. Do not hesitate. Soar ever higher. I beg you my loves…” He pointed to the group of Hollows. ”…set them on fire.” Nikitio was a poet among other things. He usually spoke a poem or two off the top of his head for them. His birds were all Ravens. Do not be fooled though. Their talons froze anything they touched. They could cut deep, and kill. Their beaks could break bone with enough force. But it was more than capable of moving through flesh and muscle.

After he finished the poem the birds flew. They took to the skies. Instantly blood flowed from the sky. It rained and poured the thick red liquid. Roars of Hollows filled the air as they were killed. A few of the Gillian that had been attracted were killed as well. Nikitio smiled. It was an emotionless smile though. The fact that such a thing existed was chilling. His birds killed any that opposed them. They obeyed their master. They moved out the way of attacks. They were quick.

Jaxon smiled as she looked to Adam. He nodded to her. He agreed with her. She was glad. She was about to tell him her plan. She was unaware of the danger she was in. She stopped as she saw his eyes grow wide. Something was wrong. His eyes were focused on her. As if he was warning her. She then started to turn her head. The Gillian they were targeting was about to attack her. She just caught sight of the hand of the Gillian change. To become a huge blade. One that can kill her in one strike. She gasped as she saw the hand fly towards her. She was the main target. She wasn’t as hurt as Tatsuya. And she was a female. Which made her a easy target to the Gillian. Take out the weakest. Then go for the strongest. She raised her blade. There was no way she could get out of the way in time. Plus, she was protecting her lover. She wasn’t about to let Tatsuya die. She gasped in surprise as she was pushed all of a sudden. She was pushed into Tatsuya’s arms. The force and speed would have knocked her and Tatsuya down. “Ah!” She exclaimed in surprise. She rolled off of Tatsuya. Not wanting to cause him more pain. She helped him up to a sitting position. She then All the while, her eyes were on Adam. He was the one who pushed her out of the way. He saved her life. That was his order that was given to him. But he was hit. She gasped as she saw what condition he was in. The blade was in his stomach. That was a vital organ. One could die from an injury like that. “No! Adam!” She yelled. She started to stand up. She bit her lip in worry. She felt guilty. She was the reason he was hurt. She covered her mouth some as Adam kept moving. He pushed through the pain. She watched as he cut the arm off their targeted Gillian. She grabbed her zanpakuto that she dropped. It was soaked in Adam’s blood now as well from his wound. She picked up her zanpakuto. Then looked to Adam. She was scanning his body. She could see his knees were getting weak. She frowned more. She was worried about him. He looked in bad condition. This was only a taste of what she will see when she graduates. She will have to get used to it. Starting now. She nodded to him. She knew he wanted to kill this Gillian as well. “Don’t push yourself too much. You’re badly injured Adam. After this, you will let me help heal you.” She told him. She didn’t ask. It was like an order. But she tried her best to make it more like a suggestion. She watched as he sent an attack at the Gillian. Once the massive black wave was shot. She used Shunpo to chase after it. The Gillian was in for a surprise. When a Hollow took the attack, it left the Gillian open to her own attack. She was going to use an attack style that she worked on with her zanpakuto spirit. She called it Rays of The Rising Sun: Crush Cut.

It is a Flash Step technique utilizing the principals of Kendo. Focusing on converting momentum and speed to raw physical force and strength. To achieve maximum power, she must be at least 30 meters away. But no more than 50 meters away. The technique is essentially performed by setting her sword in the desired slashing, or stabbing position, and then dashing at a location using Flash Step. Never stopping. She will be aiming for a spot 10 meters past the intended target. That being the Gillian. If the opponent does nothing to defend against it, she will simply barrel right through them. The solid hold on her sword causing whatever is in the way to suffer a massive concussive and slicing impact. The incredible speed of Flash Step, combined with her momentum and her own physical strength cause an almost wrecking ball effect. If the opponent does take the attack head on, a massive knock back effect occurs, and they will be sent flying through the air like a cannonball with no chance to stop themselves. Or to change the direction they flew in. Or the speed at which they travel for 50 meters. After 50 meters, they will still be flying through the air. She waited until she was 40 meters away. Her sword was in a position to cut the Gillian’s head off diagonally. Or at least it’s mask. She dashed at the Gillian while using Shunpo. She wasn’t stopping at all. When more Hollows got in the way, she just dodged them. She gained even more speed. When she reached the Gillian, she attacked. The Gillian had no chance to protect itself. So she sliced it’s head off diagonally. Her body moving right through it’s head. She was fully drenched in the Gillian’s blood. The Gillian’s dead body flew back. It killed many Hollows that were in the way. She then used Shunpo to get back to Adam, Tatsuya, and Nikitio. She tried to rub the Gillian’s blood out of her eyes. But it only made it worse. So she just closed her eyes. “Adam. I will heal your wounds now. Sensei’s Bankai will destroy the others. You need to be healed. Now. I’ll take care of Tatsuya later.” She said. She kneeled down onto the sand though. That attack she just did took quite a bit from her. But she must heal Adam and Tatsuya first. She motioned for Tatsuya and Adam to move to her. She couldn’t move to them as she had to close her eyes to protect them from the Gillian’s blood. She puts the tip of her blade into the sand. She was using it to help keep her up some, since her body was a bit tired. She hoped that Nikitio’s Bankai will protect them. Adam and Tatsuya needed healing now, not later.

Even when she was blinded for now, she used her ears. She heard Nikitio's fingers snap once. Then again. She heard what he said. Something about sing to him. She didn't know who or what he was speaking to. Nikitio's voice sounded different. As if he was about to sing. It was a beautiful voice. Soft. Full of years of singing if she guessed. He didn't seem the type to sing. Course looks are deceiving. She was in for a treat. She only wished she could see. But it was best to keep her eyes closed. They already start to hurt. His voice was sweet. It was soft. He could hit rather high notes. And he did when he spoke the word “me”. It made her want to sing as well. But she kept her mouth closed. Soon she heard the flapping of wings. Odd. She hasn't heard them before. They sounded like that of a bird. Not a Hollow. She guessed he was using an ability of his Bankai now. She heard him speak again. He was speaking as if he was a poet. He was. He was making a poem right now. She then heard as the birds attacked. She guessed that they were ravens. As his zanpakuto's name did mean raven. She then felt it start to rain. But it was warm. And more gooey then rain. It was blood. The blood of the Hollows he just killed. She heard the Hollows roar. Their dying roars. She lowered her head a bit. Using her hair to help protect her face and eyes from the rain of blood. She knew his Bankai will kill the other Hollows soon. They had nothing to worry about. Other then Adam and Tatsuya's injuries. She hummed softly. A soft tune to herself to help her get focused to heal.

"captain i got your message. sorry for being so tardy but i was occupied. i can already see what is going on but what can i do to help?"

hayashi waited to hear his captains answer.

Nikitio directed his birds. They were so beautiful. A death worthy of a king. They flew around. They killed. Their black wings beat hard. This was the true Black Death. This was the power of Karasu. The birds cleared a twenty foot radius around them. Nikitio still had yet to see anything of the Vasto Lordes. This worries him. As strong as his birds were they were not invincible. He sensed someone. It was of Shinigami reiatsu. He looked up and ordered an area clear. Soon the man appeared. It was his lieutenant. Either the message was late, or he was. He asked for back-up a while ago. This was not the time for questions though. Hayashi thought otherwise.

"Do not ask questions Hayashi. Especially questions such as that. It's quiet clear what you can do, so do it. And do it quickly. Things won't be this good forever." Nikitio turned to Jaxon. He commanded one of his birds to him. "Clear her eyes, my little one. Clear them so that she may see the sun. Flap your wings, beat them hard. Clear them, for your master The Bard." Another poem. His voice was some and sweet. The bird reacted. It flew down to Jaxon and flapped. It's wings were flapping hard and fast. It generated more wind than a normal bird would have. It was enough to blow the blood from her eyes. The bird returned to it's brothers and sisters. He resumed the attack. His ravens were doing wonderful about killing and keeping the Hollow away. They were totally surrounded. The only thing they could see from the inside was a sphere of black. His darling Ravens who protected them fiercely with their lives.

Valley of the Kings Empty
PostSubject: Re: Valley of the Kings   Valley of the Kings I_icon_minitimeSat Mar 20, 2010 10:29 pm

Adam was getting tired. A little too tired. Adam was using his soul energy to contain his balance. He was also trying to keep himself from bleeding out. He was way to weak right now. Adam looked over at the male student. Adam was still standing. He then looked up at the sky. His vision began to blurr. He didn't like this. This was a sign of weakness. He wasn't going to give up. Not as long as he still breathed. Adam forced himself to remain awake. He shook his head. He began gasping. His head still looking up at the sky. His breaths began to get heavy. Adam then focused his attention on the female student Jaxon. His blast had helped her out a little bit. Adam was happy. He just didn't show it. He kept his emotionless face on. He didn't want to show weakness. Not when his captain was around. He never wanted to even if his captain wasn't around.

Adam's power was being drained quickly. He grunted from the pain a bit. He was no longer in shock. He was feeling everything. His whole body felt numb. He felt as if he was going to die. "No. Not here. Not yet." Adam told himself. He kept throwing as much strength into his legs. He then clapsed on the sand. Only for a second, before standing up. Sai began to cry to Adam. She was telling him not to do what he was going to. Adam wanted to still fight. It was a bumb thing to do. He lowered his head. He did what Sai, and Jaxon wanted. He moved towards the male student. He then clapsed to his knees beside him. Adam's left hand was covering the area he was stabbed in. He could still feel his blood pour out. The pain was intence. This kind of pain would have made a normal man want to kill himself. Adam's then fell once Jaxon came towards him. Adam was still breathing pretty fast and heavy. He could feel his life passing him by.

Adam then looked over to see his captain. Adam began to pull himself together. He didn't want to let down his captain. He listened to his captains poems. They sounded nice. They also sounded deadly. The birds that followed them were also deadly. They carried out their orders with perfection. Adam was glad to see this. He knew he had some time to take a quick breather. Even if he didn't want to, but he knew his captain would want him too. He didn't need Adam to get himself killed. Once Jaxon came over to him he gave her a weak smile. "It wasn't your fault. This was my own." Adam said knowing what she was feeling. He didn't want her to think it was her fault. He'd rather take the blame. He could have stopped the blade before it hit. Adam's smile was a kind one. He would give up his emotionless face, just this once. He needed to. Adam then placed his bloody left hand on her leg. "Thanks." Adam finished as he waited for healing. He wanted to get back into the fight. Just as he relaxed to recieve the healing he noticed a strange power. It belonged to a shinigami. Adam Twisted his head around with what little energy he had left to see who it was. It was his vice captain. Adam was a little pissed. How come he was late. It must have been the messanger. Adam then returned his head back to face the clear blue sky.

Adam wasn't going to close his eyes. If he did he could very well die. Adam managed to force his eyes open. His blood still pouring out. He was loosing to much and fast. Now it wasn't just the hollows blood in the sand but his as well. Adam felt like a failure for getting stabbed. He wondered how his captain would feel about his action. He knew he was stabbed saving Jaxon, but it still bothered him. He could have still saved her, without him needing healing. Adam looked at his captain and shook closed his eyes slowly then reopened them. He was saying he was sorry for his failure.

hayashi knew that his he asked a dumb question. but it did not matter he had to help out as much as he could. hayashi then charged into battle and started slaying the hollow. one after another they fell but it wasn't too soon that they surrounded him hayashi then released his zanpakuto.

"burn then heavens Doragon Kokouo!"

as flames surrounded hayashi's blades they started to transform. they became golden with fire surrounding them. with his release the flames burned and destroyed the hollow around him. hayashi smiled and said.

"this is going to be fun"

hayashi then charged again at the hollow. slaying hundreds of them with ease. though it was short lived hayashi forgot that he just on got out of the squad four healing area. so hayashi keeled over starting to cough up blood. hayashi thought*no not now i cant give up yet i have a job to do*. hayashi then got back up and continued to fight. but over and over he fell and coughed up blood. hayashi knew he would be in trouble very soon. but right when that thought passed though his head something happened. just like before in his spar with his brother hayashi blanked out. his instincts taking over again. with blank eyes hayashi fought ignoring his injuries not falling even though he still was coughing up blood. his injuries started to open again but this did not affect hayashi. without his own knowledge hayashi fought. killing many hollow in the process though this did not matter though. soon enough all of hayashi's wounds were open again and there was nothing he could do about it.

Nikitio was getting tired of this. This attack had gone on long enough. There was only one thing he could do. But should he do it? Here? Now? He knew Adam and Jaxon and Tatsuya would keep their mouth shut. But would Hayashi? He didn't know the man. He had a problem with having a Vice-Captain that he didn't know, or elect. Nikitio just sighed though. He had no choice it seemed. Either he did it or they all died. "My babies, my beauties, my lovers do hear me. Mine voice is so choked, and it's fault of the Hollows that be. Allow your master to enter the fray. Cover the younger, allow them to see the light of day."

The Raven split apart their dome. Nikitio began to walk forward. "Jaxon. You are not to move from this spot. You are the only medic we have here. I will offer you what protection I can..." He vanished from site. He was nowhere to be seen. He was a few hundred feet up in the air though. He held his hand out. "Bakudo number thirty-seven. Tsuriboshi. Bakudo number seventy-three. Tozansho." The first one let loose a large blue glob. It went down for a few feet before shooting out six tentacles. Nikitio landed in the net and casted the second one. This one summoned a large inverted triangle. Nikitio opened it up a bit so he could get out. He jumped down to rejoin the students and his 3rd seat. He didn't care if this hurt. It was better in the long run. He slung Adam over one shoulder. He slung Tatsuya over another. He lifted Jaxon into his arms. They were all close enough now to smell the scent of roses under the thick scent of Hollow blood.

He took them into the makeshift base. It would protect them from the Hollow here. That was assuming that more than five Gillian didn't gang up on it. Or a Vasto Lorde appear an fire a cero. Things would get messy. Nikitio set them all down on the soft Tsuriboshi. It was kind of bouncy, but not enough to make one loose their footing. "Tatsuya Adam. Until further notice your one and only priority is to protect this structure. Jaxon, as limited as it may be, is the only one here who has any idea of the body and how to heal it. As such, you will listen to her. If she says you cannot make it, then don't you even consider leaving." He looked out and held out his wrist, palm down. A small slot opened up and a raven flew in. It landed on Nikitio's wrist and he kissed the top of it's head. "Your ears be mine, your sight be for me. Let me sense through you, when I should set free." The raven nodded his head and let out a small screech. It hopped down and took a seat next to Jaxon. "Tell the raven when you need me to open a door. I will hear it."

With that he left. He went out of the Bakudo. Standing right outside he used shunko once more. Energy rippled through the air. He zipped forward and killed Hollow after Hollow. He did it with his fists alone. If you watched, one could see he didn't carry a sword with him. Did he have a blade at all? Nikitio did, but he preferred not to use it. It was a last resort kind of thing, or something to use with surprises. He used kido blasts, he kicked, he punched. He destroyed the Hollow. All the while he was well aware of Hayashi's decision. It annoyed him. He was there when Jaxon was healing people. OBVIOUSLY she could heal. Why didn't he get healed up? Why was he still fighting? He didn't have time to sit here and baby sit. He didn't have time for it, nor did he want to. If Hayashi died it was of his own doing, and Nikitio wouldn't loose an ounce of sleep over it.
