Her world is an inverse sea. When she enters the world, she finds herself on the deck of a ship in this sea. The sea itself reflects the time of day in its color. For example, if it were sunrise the sea would be a splatter of bright colors, if it were dusk the sea would be grey, etc. The sky on the other hand is always the same blue that one would think of when they thought of the sea. No clouds float in the sky, but there are patches of white in the sea, sometimes gray. There is never any land on the horizon, though the ship is always sailing with the wind and at a considerable speed.

Personality: She is a perfect representation of the sea. Umi is extremely unpredictable, going from very calm one moment to murderously angry the next. When she is calm she is very quiet, gentle, and serene. It takes a lot for her to get angry at Reikon, but when she does it takes her a very, very long time to get over it. Umi can hold a grudge like no other, and it seems that Reikon is the one to suffer from this the most. Umi just wants the best for Reikon, for her to be stronger, and as a result she is a bit tough of Reikon some times. She enjoys pushing Rei's buttons, to try and get a reaction out of her.

Habits: Umi plays with water when she talks, controlling it with her finger tips and tracing pictures or shapes in the air.

Soul Connection: Umi represents both the outer calm of Reikon, and the complex inner strength that she has. Umi is a representation of who Reikon is behind the shell that she has developed, a strong and determined individual.

Sealed State--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Appearance:The zanpakuto's handle is made of willow wood, wrapped in a scarlet silk to provide a comfortable grip. A brass piece of metal covers the pommel of the handle. The crossguard is in the form of a skull, made of a brass similar to the pommel. The blade is about four feet in length, made of a perfect silver steel without a single scratch or nick in the blade. The sheath is made of the same willow wood as the handle, with kanji for 'the seven seas' burned into the top.

Shikai-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Appearance:

Ability: Umi can produce salt water from the blade, allowing it to be released and then further control on a small scale by Reikon. Reikon does not have control over any other water than her own, or naturally occurring water which has been mixed with her zanpakuto's. This means that she cannot control other's water-based attacks or the likes.

Weakness: Can't be used effectively in extremely hot terrain, as the water would evaporate too quickly.

Chōseki no uta - Song of the Tide
This technique begins with Reikon releasing a trail of salt water from her blade while spinning with it. This will form a circle of salt water around her. Then, when she calls out the name of the technique, the water will erupt into a circle with a diameter of five meters((minus the inner meter due to the circle that is within this disk that has no water)). The water will knock back and drench anything within those five meters, also protecting her from kido below level 40.

Arashi no uta - Song of the Storm
This technique is a simple one. Reikon will thrust her blade toward her opponent continuously, each time producing a stream of water which will fly toward them. The streams of water will then begin to twist and turn, forming into a pillar of water around the opponent. This pillar will continue to trap them until they drown, or until they break through it with something equivalent to a cero, high level kido technique, or shikai-level attack that matches or bests her own.

Reikon is lent Umi's blade. She wields this blade in her right hand. In her left is the floating blue flame of reishi which is depicted in the picture above as well.

Ability: In BanKai Reikon's original ability is strengthened immensely. She can produce massive amounts of water from the flame in her left hand, controlling the water and any other water not already controlled by another person in the area. This control of water is also at a higher scale than her shikai's. She can now bend the shape of the water, the velocity, and even the density of it. The water can now become hard and sharp enough to cut through an opponent, and block attacks for her.

Weakness: Control over the water takes a lot of concentration, she can either use the blade in her right hand or control/produce water with her left hand.

Attacks:
Nami no Uta - Song of the Waves
This technique begins with Reikon shattering her blade. The blade will disappear, a blue flame appearing in her right hand. For the duration of this technique she will now control and produce water with both hands, focusing solely on this ability instead of using the powerful blade that also comes with the Ban Kai.

Uzu no Uta - Song of the Maelstrom
This technique is a much more powerful version of the original Arashi no Uta. This technique will form a massive pillar, nearly ten meters in diameter, around the opponent. If they do not escape the pillar in the turn it takes to form it, they will be trapped inside of the pillar. The only way to break away from this pillar is to use a Ban Kai level attack which matches or bests Reikon's own power level.
